Triumph Daytona 675 sound off

My '06 675 is set up fairly well for the track and I've been having an absolute ball on it. My friend heard me talking, over time, about my like for the current GSXR series and while being an avid Yamaha fan he still went out and bought an 07 GSXR750 for some reason. I'm hoping he'll bring it, instead of his track R6, to the track before he ends up selling it so I can try a few laps on it. I love those bikes and it's been quite interesting to see the various comparos using specifically the 675 and GSXR750.

To be clear...I don't hate the Triumph, I'm just dissapointed that it didn't live up to the high expectations I had. It's still a great bike (with a few flaws) that just doesn't happen to be the best bike for my riding style (I'm heavy on the front in turns).
I miss the awesome mid range power of the triple...but my zx6r pulls better on top end, shifts better and has better suspension (I'll give the brakes to the 675 by a smidge.)

Question to you Daytona owners...

I see most/all of you have hacked off the tail hanger / license plate hanger.
Would any of you still have it on you? I'd like to get my hands on one, and was hoping to get a unit that someone has cast away.

Assuming of course you haven't just thrown yours away. If you could shoot me a pm, or an e-mail, I'd highly appreciate it. Thanks!

What part do you need exactly? The metal "c" piece snapped on mine from vibration but I still have what was under there.

The new blues look great. Hope they come out with a white option, the repainted ones I've seen are hot.

Since you're in Richmond, we can meet at the wall in Oakland/Berkeley? If most people don't know where that is, we can also meet at the Peets Coffee in Emeryville (right next to the food courts).
