Is there any witnesses to the crash in turn 2 that can tell the afm that i got rear-ended before crashing out and getting my bike burned to a cinder or maybe if rider 793 is on here he could do something for me as i need proof or the crash goes on my record. It sucks bad when someone else's boo boo costs you yor bike , leathers , boots , helmet and 2 top ten possitions in championships but it's nice to walk away unhurt.

I'm sorry I saw almost the whole incident. I saw the contact, but at that point the bikes where already together. I do know it took an amazingly long time for the fire extinguishers to come out. I was surprised to see only one corner worker that seemed concerned that there was a fire while the others just looked on. That was a real bummer. I could have ran faster from my pit with my fire extinguishers than they did. Next time I will.

dude, brunty, you burned my poor old tail to a crisp? You've got some bad luck with bikes my man... Sorry to hear but at least you're healthy, huh?

Joe dude. Would you believe that your old tail is the only thing that came safe from the whole bike cause it flew off. There must be a curse on me in that place. It was the first thunderhill weekend last year that i lost my bike also. Like f**ing dejavu.

fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck... That really does suck. I'd avoid that place at all costs if it was me, especially since both your bike "yardsales" were caused by other riders hitting you.

It's obvious to me that if you would have run all my old bodywork that your bike would have been fine. Other than the wiring/bodywork, is most of the stuff salvagable?

Oh, and looking at that photo I think I just found the bike we should all ride in the 4 hour endurance race!!! It can't get worse, right?

frame is broke and forks bent bad. rear shock creamated. Even a sprocket carrier i borrowed from lico is done

damnz0r, brunty... once again. i'm glad you're alright, dude. :( tho, in the defense of the turn workers, i seen the worker from t1 haul ass over there with his extinguisher and used it till it ran out...then another TW ran over with 2 in hand immediately...

brunty's bike was almost perfectly between T1 and T2-box... when you're on a bike, it doesn't seem very far...but when you're hoofin it, it's a long fucking way. i thought they did a great job of keeping thunderhill from burning down. :thumbup

Yeah in the turn workers defence Joe they done as good a job as they could under the circumstances. It's a pity the first extinguisher ran out so quick. From a distance it looks like a short run but down there it's a long way carrying something in 100+ degrees heat. I know i could barely walk back to the pits and they were running all over the place

fireball in 2

Dude I.m the turnworker from 1 who tried to put out the fire, had trouble with my bottle and also did not see the fire till i tried to pick up your bike,it was burning clear until the grass caught, thats when i hauled ass for the bottle,i wish i could have gotten to it sooner but i had to wait for a clearing to cross a live course.and as my son said i did see the contact from the rider trailing you,he hit your rear tire ,riders left and caused you to lowside and then i wasn't sure if you highsided after because it was so cloudy from the dust and i was busy watching on coming traffic so i could cross.and to Mick-e dude until ur in our shoes on a live course standing in the 105 degree heat with hot water only to drink and running up and down the hillside all day picking up crashed bikes and all the other behind the scenes things that we do I suggest you keep your I could have done better opinions to yourself,I risked my life to stop a fire, what did you do,put us down for it!And to all my fellow turnworkers and Joe , I thank you all for your help and continued support on this wild incident.AFM turnworkers ROCK!!!!!!!!

Trust me there was more than one worker concerned about the fire. The worker from T1 ran over as fast as he could. Another ran from the entrance of T2. Thats a long haul in 100 degree heat. Which workers were just looking on? The communicator in T1 couldn't respond he's on the wrong side of the track. The communicator in T2 ran down with an extinguisher as soon as the bikes were slowed down. We don't normally have the communicators respond to an incident. The workers from T3 couldn't cross the track until traffic had slowed down. Exit of T1 is not a good area to cross with bikes on course. Sorry you don't feel our performance was up to par, but anytime you feel you could do better please come on out and show us.

To everyone else I know the above quoted post is Mick-e's opinion only. So to everyone no worries. Its just when someone comes on with this second guessing and I could do better BS it pisses me off to no end.:thumbup

:wtfUm, ok. Worse thing you can do is piss off the turn workers that are there to help YOU, the racer, and make the day go as smooth as possible so you can actually race. Yes, it sucks that the bike burned and it sucks that the nearest Extinguisher was at least 100 yards away. The tw from turn 2 carried 2 bottles, one that weighs at least 40 pounds and the other 20, from at least 80 yards.

Don't expect many thumbs up or waves in the near future, dude. :thumbdown
