Two Car sidecar racing Anime coming out in Fall

Watched the first episode when it first came out, it was kinda meh but hopefully gets better. I usually give anime about 3 episodes to wow me. But Silver Link does great work.

I like how their ride to school hack is a two stroke. ;)

I doubt it can reach the level of Bakuon!!, but I thought they did a fairly decent job of many things. They didn't start it out anything like I expected. Don't want to post any spoilers so I wont go into it. I'm sure I'll watch the whole season. Better than watching most of the stuff (not just anime) put out for consumption these days.

I think the coach is the same voice actor as Rin's dad from Bakuon!!
 
I've seen it. It's OK for the shit season that is shaping up. It sometimes takes a few eps for the show to find it's arc and build up the characters, so I always hang in there on the ones that I haven't rejected out of hand from the first episode.

The coach's seiyuu is Shinchiro Miki famous for:
Takumi Fujiwara = Initial D
Tatsuya Shima = Wangan Midnight
Rin's Dad = Bakuon!!
Akira = Virtua Fighter

and a crap other anime he's a pretty famous voice actor.

Side cars are pretty cool I hope they get into the technical bits of it. The passenger's job looks terrifying having to hang over the bike like that =O

Anime sucks. Outfits are awesome. There's an actual movie about actual sidecars that's been shown in the UK and Germany. Hoping it will come to the US eventually.

You know if you are having a bad day, week, month, year, life, there are plenty of threads for you to take a dump in. There's no reason to disparage one of a country's major cultural art forms. If you don't like anime then don't watch it. People that like it wont be offended.

If you really want to base on something try basing on Honda for killing the two stroke. I'm telling you it's very worth while. :teeth

Woot shakedowns this week, although I don't condone not wearing helmets even if your going for a shakedown isn't that the most dangerous time to be riding a bike after its been recently serviced? ATGATT! The passenger for the #11 car Misaki is hot!

Nice frame grabs. Usually these sorts of animes move hella slow. This one moves along quickly enough that I'm struggling to keep up. lolz

I agree the rationalization of riding without helmets was bogus. They just wanted to show off their hair animation. :teeth

I expect there will be a number of easter eggs in this show. :thumbup

That whole section was hilarious.

The fireworks was really cool too. There's a bridge in Kyoto over a riverbank under which the kids hang out at night, and light up sparklers. This felt very much like that, but with bikes. :teeth
