Anyone hear about this? I just listened to it on the radio. Two motorcyclists hit each other head-on on Skyline BLVD near Alice's restaurant.

:( Way to start a Sunday.

Could this be it?

They said on the radio it happened 30 minutes ago so yea, that looks like it. I came to barf hoping there was a post about it, what type of motorcycles they were riding, what condition they're in.

This is what happens when 1 too many riders call it track 9, hope both recover well!

Take it easy out there!

I came across the scene a few minutes after it happened. It was about half way up 84 between Lahonda and 35. A pearl white 848 and another retro standard, both riders alive, one had a compound leg fracture and the other one had just regained conciousness when we got there and paramedics were already on the scene. Pretty nasty situation for sure. Ride safe people!!

It was on 84 about two miles west of Alice's, not on Skyline.

I rolled by it before any emergency vehicles arrived, but around a half dozen other Ducatis already pulled over and directing traffic around the one rider on his back, in the middle of the road. Head-on? Nasty.

When I got to STP, emergency vehicles were flooding down 84, coming from every which way. Hope the riders are okay :(

passed by this too. According to some riders at STP,
the duck went wide hit the norton. The duck had 299 miles
on the odometer. Glad riders are ok.

i thought it would be the revving desmo dude after he rode around in 1st all day... :dunno

I was headed down 84 to La Honda for the Ducati Days event when a police car came up fast from behind with siren and lights. Got up to the light before the one way section, went through that and then shortly after came to a complete halt. Next comes an ambulance. Later the Woodside Paramedics came out along with a fire engine. At that point I turned around and went back and hung at Alice's until I saw traffic start to come back out, and then went down to Ducati Days. I heard that it was head on between a Ducati and a Norton.
One of them must have been hurt pretty bad, someone who went by said they had biohazard bags out. When I went through they were tying the two destroyed bikes to a flatbed. CHP was on the scene and looked pissed off.

I hope both riders heal up quickly.

I road up on this accident (the one on 84) very shortly after it happened. It was a bad crash and I hope both riders heal.

I doubt if they read this board, but I wanted to give a BIG kudos to the off-duty emergency-trained people who quickly took action and tended to the riders until (and during) the arrival of the on-duty professionals. Their ability to lead and utilize the rest the people who were there to help, was absolutely vital.

Unfortunately, I later witnessed the deer vs. rider incident. Fortunately, the rider limped away with only what appears to be a badly sprained ankle; however, the deer and his bike weren't as lucky. Thanks to Neal and (Bilget?) for turning around with your trailer, and hauling his bike home for him. Class act!

Very Bad Accident on way to La Ducati Day!

A Ducati and a Norton head on on La Honda road on way to La Ducti day.
A new white Duck blew the DY and did a glanciing head on into a Norton!

Between the single lane and the red barn.

Ducati was west bound and Norton was eastbound,
Ducati blew the right hand turn and started going left!
Hit the front wheel of the Norton and spun the bikes and riders into the opposite lanes.

The riders may have even went helmet to helmet.

My thoughts to the riders.

This is what happens when tou blow the DY and ride above your head and conditions (wet).

Some reason i get get pics up, but are over on SBR.

I stole this from SBR...
