Critical thinking FAIL!!!

So, instead of addressing the content of the video you attack the source?

We are all very aware of the fact that you think any conservative leaning source is a "right wing retard blog" (your words).

But what do you have to say about the content of the video?

hit a little too close to home eh?:laughing

what do I think about the video? I watched like 30 seconds of it, thought it was dumb and realized it really has no effect on anything. Well, anything except rabid right wingers of course seeing as there were 2 threads about it it and the pundits are on fire :laughing what a joke, how can people even take them seriously? as if these people speak for everyone concerned about the environment.

Close to home?:wtf I couldn't care less. The reason I think you don't see liberals talking about this is that it is in really bad taste and they know it, and since carbon reduction is kinda a liberal thing.....well you know.

But I am more interested in why you keep returning to the "right wing" comments. You admit you haven't watched the video (ok 30 seconds but that isn't enough to form a valid opinion of the work) but you think that the "pundits" are "on fire" about it. I haven't seen it anywhere but here on BARF so I can't think it is getting much attention. Admittedly though, I don't cruise the political sites, conservative or liberal, so I may be uninformed.

You always seem to claim to be some well informed, critically thinking person and yet on this subject you purposefully keep yourself uninformed (by not watching the video) and instead of giving the subject a critical analysis you attack the way in which the subject is publicized.

Why?

hahaha just google it. I told you how I found it. Although true to form most right wing types just like to be told what to think.

I know how to use google so I claim to be well informed?:laughing I watched some of the vid and it was a recurring theme of blowing up people that weren't environmentally minded. It was repetitive. I didn't feel the need to watch the same slightly changed skit over and over.

Like I said, I find it hilarious the right wingers are pulling a gotcha on this, as if these fools have shit to do with anything. Their outrage just keeps getting more ridiculous as time goes by.

It was on BBC or FOX RSS news feeds. The video wasn't readily available, that took some searching around.

So this is on 'Right wing' news only. Thats not right I think those Ppl blown up were Liberals. :laughing
Is it Environmentalists have a free ride with 'Left wing' news networks. How come its not reported ?

I thought it was funny, especially for BARF :teeth Still its got something wrong about it socially.

Heh it is so predictable the Left blames or characterizes the Right. Blaming of the very things they themselves are guilty of and the right had nothing to do with. In this case saying right wingers are told what to think and say. When its the Left who haven't had an original thought in decades. They spout the Party line like echoes in the Grand Canyon.

Something wrong about killing people if they don't agree with a particular philosophy. Surely you can see this has parallels to terrible atrocities in History. Where some of that Left Wing sensibilities ? this thing is fascist.

I think vtrza's point is that most right wing followers are sheep who do/think whatever the gelns and seans and rush's tell them too.

So, by this logic, Fred Phelps is a good representation of Conservative values, right? We should all spend the time to explore all of what he has to say before casting judgement? Do we really have to?

Idiots are idiots, regardless of them being on the left or right.

Was this actually done by a "green" group or by a group trying to make "green" groups look like morons?

The enviro nuts can't be THAT stupid, can they? :laughing

Yes, they can.
Just like one environmental group's leader accidentally went on record to say that "if banks started exploding tomorrow, it would make me happy".
PETA, greenies, etc - this thinking is not new to them and should not surprise anyone.

How often do you hear a bunny hugger say that animal lives are worth than human lives? As stupid as it is to say, they feel comfortable saying it while their minions bob heads in unison.

Exploding children. That's fucking classy right there.

:facepalm

I have no idea what's wrong with you people.

Nothing wrong with them. Technically, they are solid with their logic.
Put yourself into their mind. They feel that if certain humans are not doing their part to save the planet, they don't belong on the planet. Logic = Earth > humans. So, if "some" humans are destroying the planet and not saving it, they should die...for the sake of the planet. Sounds legit to me. Completely believable. IF you are the type that actually buys into the whole concept.
:nerd

I'm a 'bunny hugger'. I do an awful lot of work with animal shelters, as well you all know.

I also am strongly in favor of getting us onto as much renewable power as possible, as fast as possible, and doing more for energy conservation.

And I hate PETA, because they are a bunch of extremists who instead of furthering the cause, have let to the above mindset that ALL people in favor of better animal husbandry are a bunch of enviro-wack-jobs.

The reality is, there are vast, vast networks of people quietly rescuing animals, writing to their politicians and occasionally standing in quiet protest over some heinous act of cruelty or stupid law being veto'ed (thanks Arnie for vetoing fur labelling, WTF?) who are middle-class, terribly civilised people.

But we don't make good headlines.

STOP DRINKING THE KOOLAID.

I don't believe that Fred Phelps represents the mindset of every Christian in America any more than you should believe that PETA and their ilk represent me and my animal welfare beliefs.

Buying into this, 'Well, they're ALL like that' is just intensifying the imaginary cultural divides in this country.
