The book was wriiten some time ago and is a statement against fascism in general. If anybody thinks it was written as an anti-Bush film, it must have touched a nerve for a very good reason.

I haven't yet seen it, gonna go next weekend, but I think the criticism is that the directors add allusions to President Bush that aren't in the book. Though I'd hate to judge before all the facts are in. But it is stated that some attacks on Bush were placed in the movie that were not in the book. Hey, thanks for the link. I loved Moore's interview. Going to search out his stuff. People just are not aware of just how good the "grownup" comic books are.

I just saw the movie last night, and had no idea that was the actor playing V! Priscilla is one of my favorites.
As for V For Vendetta... I really liked it. I never read the book, but the movie was entertaining and Natalie Portman did a great job. And the visual effects were amazing.
Henry, I hate to say it but the first 15 minutes were pretty interesting... that news report about the US was very thought provoking. And the first time they met was a really good scene. So quit showing up to movies so late!

Ok time to post my review.
I did not read the book and I sort of liked the movie. For a comic book movie, its great. The movie does exactly what comic books do, put everything in two buckets...good or bad and then make sure good wins after some struggle. But the thing I did not like about this movie is suttle brainwashing as to what good is and what bad is. And I must say I was impressed with the quality of hidden messages and their impact on most people.

i saw it a while ago, and yes it was one of the best movies i have seen a long time. definetly better than anything i have gone to seee lately at the movies.
