Trying to get an idea of the market value for a 1999 Ducati 750ss. It has 6200 miles but the valves have not been adjusted. Drop on one side with damage to the fairing and tank. It needs a new battery from sitting. Currently on non op with clean title.

I am thinking 1500.00 and I don't know that it would fly off the shelf at that price. I was thinking of picking this up to part out. I'm shocked at how little street bike parts sale for. I get almost the same prices for my dirt part bike parts.

you will have to ebay the parts for that as there is not much of a demand for that year/model. I wouldn't pay $1500 for the headache to part that out.
Clean it up and make it a nice runner and you have a $3000 bike depending on how bad the damage is.
I am a fan if fixing things, not parting them though.

the 750 was a low spec bike with less expensive swingarm, suspension & brakes so there won't be much demand for any of those pieces, or the motor. However undamaged Supersport fiberglass should be real easy to sell.

To ride it, it'll need belts as well as the valve check but that's easy enough and it could make a nice project. Sell the undamaged bodywork and build a naked bike out of it.

Non-running, I certainly wouldn't pay more than $1,500 and maybe less depending on the damage.

I'll bet it needs tires as well as battery, belts, 7500-mile service and other little things. I had a 2000 750 SS and no, the parts aren't worth much, nor is the motor. But it's a fun bike to tear around on--durable, dependable, great fuel economy and nice handling. I had fun turning it into a streetfighter.
