I laugh every time I read this thread. Thanks guys.. My condolences to the gal's family that passed away but the dark humor is, well, too funny to ignore.
I just like saying Lake Titicaca...Mata de coca is much weaker than cocaine (one cup is about 1/8 as strong as a line of cocaine), so your characterization is somewhat overboard.
No, I didn't chew on the coca leaves, did see quite a few workers chewing on them with brown teeth.
I spent a day at Lake Titicaca which was at 12,500 feet, took the train which went over 14k feet and wasn't quite what I was expecting (1st class meant you got a thick blanket for the cold but you were still sitting on the wooden benches.
I wanted to try out one of the 3 23k peaks around Arequipa but we didn't have time for that.
Great country to visit!
"somewhat like drinking some coffee" ????
Well IF you toss a couple table spoons of Cocaine into that "some coffee"
And when I say Cocaine, I'm talkin real (pure) Cocaine, not the crap sold in this country.
I'll take another wild guess... You haven't packed a wad of coca leaf into your cheek for a few days running. And there isserious elevation above the Cusco elevation.
Hummm, Guess the coca leaf in the cheek, that the locals consider sacred ...Didn't do the deed for Ya...
The airlines flying into the Andes elevations, are serving Coca leaf tea, now.
And the high end Hotels are serving Coca leaf tea as a courtesy to their guests, now.
And all the male's in the Andes have green in their mouth when they smile.
You just did it wrong...![]()
You're babbling like a nitwit.... There is a huge difference between Coca leaf, and Cocaine...
Safe to assume you know nothing about what you are talkin about?
And on top of that, there is a huge difference between Cocaine that diplomatic's kids in Lima Peru have..
And the crap that is sold in this country is.
By the time it gets here, it has gone though hands that add junk that you can find under the kitchen sink, to add volume and money return.
