Verizon can suck my bawls

There are two drawbacks to not having a cell phone:

1. Airport pick-ups.

2. It bugs the shit out of my wife.

For me, the convenience of a cell phone is outweighed by the bull shit listed above. I never felt ok with writing a check to Verison or any other carrier. I don't like their business practices and the only real power I have to change it is to not give them any money. Fuck em. #Luddite

I'm with you dude. Everytime I get a new phone I'm like "Why the fuck do I actually need this?" Then I check BARF on it and am like "Oh".

i had to call verizon do deal with a final closeout dealio too. similar story, don't recall why i had to call but yeah, getting a Voice on the phone worked.

we are with xfinity version of googleFi after coming off of grandfathered verizon unlimited plans. it was tough at first, but already being wed to the xfinity monster for home internet it was the best choice. the cost savings is HUGE for us and was pretty much the sole driving factor.

Fi now has unlimited, sort of. As I understand it if you have (for example) a single-person account and your data usage goes over 6 GB ($60), then after that you pay no more that month for data. Buf when you go over 15GB your speed is throttled. Multi-person accounts have higher thresholds for free data. These changes are very new.

Saw a news blip about this the other day.

Nice reasonable common sense approach.

I agree, and I'm honestly a little surprised by this. I kept thinking, "OK, what's the drawback?" when I got my email, but didn't really find one, aside from the slower speeds at 15+ GB. Keep in mind, that's a single user using over 15GB, not everyone on the plan. But if everyone in total goes over 10GB, they stop charging you. I have two people on my plan, so it's basically $100 for an unlimited plan, and we get reimbursed if we use under 10GB per month (which we are almost always under).
