From the youtube credits...

Features footage from the Allan Jefferies Trophy Trial, The Scott, Ilkley Grand National, Road Racing at Esholt Park. Commentator is Allan Jefferies, Issued to be made by the Bradford & District Motorcycle Club back in the day. The footage was passed onto me by Tony Armstrong in the format of a VHS tape sound quality was poor and picture quality was also poor. Originally this was on 8mm film which was converted by Tony and was given by Mr Woods. Now it's been cleaned the best I can and put into the digital world for all you to enjoy. www.bradfordtrials.org

That was cool.

The Witchita Witch did not really kill it. :laughing

50 years ago (1975) we took a road trip to Gardena CA to watch the GNC National, I was 20 years old at the time. I had my brother's Super 8 camera with me.
It's a good thing I filmed practice, because this was a night race and that did not film well at all.

At about the time when VHS was about become extinct, I had the Super 8 film transferred to VHS. Then, about 2005 I got a computer.... But it wasn't until I got a device to transfer the VHS tape to a digital file on my computer about 2010.... I guess what i'm saying is, it took a long circuitous route to get it here. :)

"Rolling Start"..., Watch the guy with his hand up. Sacramento Mile

Super 8 stop action video at Ascot shows Kenny Roberts dirt track counter-steer to setup cornering.
Standing on the outside of the track near turn 3 corner, Roberts turns far enough to the right, that my film,
in stop action shows the "inside", left side of the front wheel rim just before he enters turn three.
Watch on YouTube, full screen.
