I’m posting this here not to buy a trailer, but to see if there’s a fellow track rider interested in teaming up. Before I go out and buy another trailer, I wanted to offer a mutually beneficial arrangement: free, secure trailer storage in San Jose, CA (95136) in exchange for shared access.

I have a 44-foot long by 12-foot wide concrete pad in my backyard that can accommodate most trailers. The access point is through a garage pass-through that measures 12 feet wide by 14 feet tall. While that sounds promising, I didn’t account for the fact that a rolling garage door hangs down about 6 inches when fully open, and the slope of my driveway can raise the trailer’s tail height as it’s backed in. Because of that, most 5th wheels at 13.5 feet tall may not fit—but I’m still open to trying if you are, just to see.

I’ve got an F350 Crew Cab available, and we could potentially carpool to track days if our schedules align. I’m an AFM rider but not competitive—at 6'0" and 200 lbs on a 600cc, I’m just out there for fun. I’ve got both an A and B bike but only need to bring one. I’ve got everything I need for track days—except a trailer. Ideally, I’d like to bring my 3-year-old along, so I’m looking for an RV or toy hauler setup to keep him comfortable and out of the heat.

I know how much of a hassle trailer storage can be in the Bay Area, so I’m hoping to make someone’s life easier while solving my own problem. You’d have 24/7 access via the side gate, but because I store my truck in the garage (which must be moved to get a trailer in or out), I just ask for a heads-up—preferably a day in advance, but I can usually accommodate within an hour if I’m home. It’s worth noting that I carry a CCW, so please don’t surprise me.

This is a bit of a hail Mary—if I don’t find a solid match, I’ll just buy another trailer soon. If you’re the kind of person who keeps your gear clean, organized, and in good condition, we’ll get along great. If not, it’s probably not going to work. Once you see my house, my rig, and my setup, you’ll understand exactly what I mean.

DM me if you're interested in discussing privately, or post questions here if you think others might benefit from the answers. If the question isn’t too invasive, I’ll respond publicly. Thanks!

I shared a trailer for years. It is a good way to go and storage is almost always an issue.

GL finding the right person. Cool offer.
