I just removed and flushed the coolant and replaced with Water Wetter. This is my first time using it. I'm curious if anyone has experienced any change in how your bike warms up or temp differences while on the track...

Thanks!

What else did you put in there? Just water? (If so, I hope it was only distilled water. Tap water or drinking water is a no-no.) Or a coolant/water mix? (Again, only distilled water.)

Generally speaking, the more water you have in the coolant mix, the cooler the engine will run. That's because water transfers heat easier than coolant. And if you add water wetter, it's supposed to lower your coolant temps a bit more.

Go to the Redline website to see some info on how it works.

That said, I'm a firm believer in using coolant as long as I'm not on the track. Coolant offers better lubrication of the water pump seals than water wetter and also has anti-corrosion stuff in it. If you don't ride or store the bike where it gets below freezing, I'd just run 1/3 coolant and 2/3 distilled water. And water wetter if you'd like.

Thank you!

I used distilled water with the Water Wetter. This is a track bike... not street legal... otherwise I would have taken it for a test ride...

Thanks for the info.

Just make sure that the system is 'burped'.
In the winter the bike is stored in an insulated Garage.

As I filled the bike... I rocked it a bit and squeezed the lower hose. Once filled I ran the bike until the radiator fans kicked on ~215f. I then let it cooled... and topped it off... I'm hoping that took care of air bubbles... your thoughts?

Sounds like you're fine. Bring some pre mixed just in case to your trackday. Be sure to change that shit often, it's gets funky quickly.

How often do you suggest?

I flush it once a year. Drain, fill with white vinegar, sit over night, flush with water, refill with ww/dist h2o

the vinegar has a mild acid in it and will help clean out oxidation and other junk

Should be good. If you find that it's running hotter you may have to tip the bike over on each side to get a stubborn bubble out.

Just changed to WaterWetter yesterday for THill next week. I see no difference between it, temperature wise, and the universal prestone that was in previously.:(
