yes, a fake Ducati from a very specific time & style -
it's evocative of the Euro-only, early-70s 750S "Z-stripe" bevel, with shine-thru h'lite plexi

separate from the Yam's paint imitation, the best hardware here is the OEM-mimic taillite
[the F fender & fairing shape are also pretty close, as is the Italophile F hub casting]

I've some nits - so much more could've been accomplished here with a list of little details, yes - but the builder made his point.....

Japanese motorcycle companies tried to make many interesting bikes in the past, more so than today.

Honda came up with 125cc rotary engine. It didn't go well, I guess. Yamaha tried to challenge CB750, Mach 750 and GT750 with a fuel injected 2 stroke 4 cylinder 750 bike. Yamaha also came up with a rotary engine against Suzuki RE5. Both bikes weren't released due to the oil shock in 70's. Beautiful bikes that were ready for production.

so that's 10 XTRA fairings!

the furthest-out of this Nipponese-style [so far, anyway.....]

I was hoping that someone would comment on that first Yellow bike, with first what appears as an open, reverse cone, exhaust can..Then a closed up SuperTrapp.

SuperTrapp is the awesome...If Ya do it like lots of disks + open end cap

Those are two different bikes.
The mufflers aren't the only components that are different.
Check the seat, heatshield, rear shocks, turn signals, rear wheel and brake, footrests....

The only similarity is the color of the gas tank and rear hump.

Someone once gave me an old BMW airhead suppertrapp, which I put on my R100. It was really loud even with a reasonable number of plates.
Then I discovered that there was no internal pipe or glass packing in it. It was on a track bike and had the internals removed to make it lighter (I guess).

OK...I thought they were the same bike, pictures taken at different times, with different cosmetics on, at those different times.
