I was on the phone arguing with someone. Hung up and was pissed and I tried to just take off out of wells fargo parking lot. I wasn't paying attention to what I was supposed to- the bike. I pressed the brake too quickly. No injury, but theres damage. Mostly to my pride. Oh and also this...

It was broken, but I drove to work today and it completely tilted. Now I can't even rest my foot on it or use the brake. The ride home is going to be tricky.

Anyway, whats the name of this part and where can I get it cheap?

my bike is a 2006 Ninja 250R. other than this damage, nothing happened to the bike. How much do you guys think this will run me?

I'm a fairly new rider, only about 2 months, but I have already rode 1,200 miles.

basically I grabbed right instead of left first, I did not depower or downshift at all.

no clutch probably means he hit the rear brake, killed the engine or something and tipped over

Go to BikeBandit.com and here's a link to the schematics for the parts you need to replace:

I hit e-bay already, they didn't have anything. The part price isn't all that bad, however.

Oh- and when you get on a bike, you don't get mad, you don't get sad, you make damn sure you are paying attention to what you're doing- which is riding. And that goes whether you've got a mere 1200 miles under your belt, or 120,000 miles under your belt.

Don't forget to try Craigslist, too, and Fremont Cycle Salvage is a great resource, like Kenny suggested. Good luck, and maybe next time return phone calls after you get home... ;)

+1.. dont let your emotions cloud your ability esp if you need your concentration in order to get from point A to point B... and not get yourself killed!

:thumbup for manning up to your mistakes and the cause of it. Don't let emotions run you because that split second you're thinking of her, you're not thinking of the car ready to t-bone you. Reaction matters.

you sure it wasn't cold tires?:laughing
