I've done countless barf rides, and ridden with hundreds of barfers over the years. Which 'large barf rides' on 'local back roads' are you going on that no one wrecks?

Please, show me a link to one of these past barf rides. I would love to be proven wrong. :)

From both the video and the picture from the front it looks like he went straight into that silver Camry. Where did Rey Josue even take pics from, in the video I don't see another car right ahead.

Also, I thought the stunnas had handlebars not clipons. Was his bike not prepped properly to Yut-Ughh?

Frank - you raise a very good point. We are quick to chastice what we dont understand rather than accepting its the same thing but in a different package. When people are involved, we call that racism.:(

When I was living in the US (San Fran) I would attend three main riding groups: Sunday Morning Ride, Squid Hunters and Thursday Night Ride. All were fast and dangerous and crashes were frequent. These fast and skilled canyon riders were often criticised and labled as bad for bikes. 10 years on and stunters are now being labled by the biking community. Amazing how people's perceptions change over 10 years.:rolleyes

On the other hand, large scale riders all doing a wheelies, blocking lanes on a major road - sorry, but that asking for trouble. So, expect criticism.:)

However you look at it, we may not like what the other guy is doing but most of us need to remember that when we carve through the canyons and our favorite roads, what we do is more dangerous than what was depicted in this video.

Legalities and Video - Sorry to say, the police can action on this footage so i would suggest removing it.

Big difference between a major bridge that thousands of people cross every day, and a back road that only the locals use.

I was on Mort's pie ride last weekend, and to the best of my knowledge no one crashed. :dunno I was on the Hawthorne rally last fall, and other than one rider dumping it on a dirt road out in the desert, no one crashed. Of rides that I've led in the past couple of years, I can only recall one crash. That was a result of a hamfisted stab at the front brake on a sandy corner on Ebbetts Pass. It was the result of klutzy riding rather than showing off.

I can't say I've been on countless BARF rides like you, but the vast majority of the rides I've participated in have not included crashes, blocked traffic, etc. Perhaps we've just had different experiences.
 
How about both stunnas and weekend ricky racers stop riding like fucktards??

Stunnas - Quit pulling stunts in public, especially on heavily traveled roads (like the fucking Bay Bridge).

Weekend squids - Stop crashing on every fucking BARF newbie ride.

That was a small winter ride, and just a quick look in that thread shows someone went down on their way home.

Almost perfect...well, the group ride was perfect...but on my own after I split off I managed to dump my bike taking off from a stop and crunched up my clutch lever :rofl

I guess I enjoyed spinning up the rear in the muck a little too much, and couldn't resist one more...

Also, apple pie wasn't that great, compared to pumpkin, but there's always next year!

No he missed the car, and the bike near him too. Lucky as hell I'd say...

You didnt watch the vid to the end did ya? He had clip on's. It fractured right at the block of the clamp where the bar was inserted. Most definatly a stress crack failure. And also a clue NOT to run aluminum bars in an aluminum clamp for "high stress" applications.. :laughing

Twenty riders isn't that small. The crash didn't happen on the group ride, it sounds like more of a drop than a crash, and it didn't block a freeway.

We had ~ 70 riders in Hawthorne. The only crash that I know of was on a desert track. BARF rides happen all the time without crashes.
 
It doesnt matter....

Don't stunt on the bay bridge. Don't stunt on the freeways. Don't endanger others.
 
Are we really arguing about whether it's okay to have a group stunt off on the Bay Bridge? That's fucking stupid and selfish and makes all of look bad.

And Frank, believe me, when ricky racers crash on the public roads, they get bitch slapped by everyone as well.
