What Are You Thinking Of Right Now?

Thank you. And thank you to BARF for providing a place for me to express how I feel. I love this place.
You know feelingthelosschick
Having lived expressing all kinds of shit for 24 years this thing we (BARF) is pretty cool and… special to many of us.
I think you are right! I guess I've always had a thing for a good looking...motorcycle :love
I am sure Randy would agree.

Sorry for your loss. :rose

Losing someone that shared special moments is for sure impactful.

Secret: I still see her in other people.
A truly cool soul I hope to greet again one day.

I breakdown
In the middle and lose my thread
No one can understand a word that I say
When I breakdown
Just a little and lose my head
Nothing I try to do can work the same way
Any time it happens, I get over it
With a little help from all my friends
Anybody else could see what's wrong with me
But they walk away and just pretend
When I breakdown
I breakdown
In the middle and lose my thread
No one can understand a word that I say
When I breakdown
Just a little and lose my head
Nothing I try to do can work the same way
Where are all the friends who used to talk to me?
All they ever told me was good news
People that I've never seen are kind to me
Is it any wonder I'm confused?
When I breakdown
When I breakdown
Take the wall away
(Freedom, freedom)
(We will not obey)
(Freedom, freedom)
(Take the wall away)
Where are all my friends?
I'm so confused
Take the wall away
Take the wall away
Won't somebody help me?

From the album I Robot from The Alan Parsons Project...
Released in 1977...The same year Star Wars came out...
The Project's 2nd album...
The first album was a conceptual take on stories by Edgar Allen Poe...It is brilliant...
It's called Tales of Mystery and Imagination - Edgar Allen Poe...It was released in 1976...10 years later it was re-recorded with voice-overs by Orson Welles...
Alan Parsons was the engineer behind
Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon...and was behind a lot of bands you probably like.
He has a beautiful house on a hill near Santa Barbara...
He is genuinely a very kewl cat.

"And when you're alone with nobody to turn to...
You look in the mirror and think that it's untrue...
In your refection are you sure that you see...
The person that you've always wanted to be...
But, you never were...
Because you feared yourself...
And in your deepest thoughts...
You looked for someone else..."

Brilliant...but dark

I'm thinking, grief is a heavy load attached to one's heart with an invisible chain of undetermined length. It seems like sometimes, as we run up on joy suddenly that chain snaps us back into a bleak reality.

According to a dear friend it is a reality without her soulmate of 50 years.

we have a woman at our senior center who recently lost her husband of 54 years. grief is overwhelming her. she disappeared for awhile, and then when she returned, she sat alone and didn’t talk to anyone. the first time i approached her, and asked her if she was okay, she didn’t say anything, just stood up and left. she’s talking a bit now. still sitting by herself, but the last couple of times i’ve seen her, i started off with a hug. she held on like it was for dear life. and finally told me what happened. i asked her if she wanted to talk about it, and she said no, so i just sat with her and held her hand. the look in her eyes is heartbreaking.
