What is a GooD Bank! WELLS FARGO SUCKS

u guys that bank at credit unions

how easy is it to find ATMs and what kinda stuff have other banks done that have turned you off so bad?

Im with BOFA and have been with them for 13 years without any problems at all.

just curious

:edit just read over some posts again and it appears that most of the compaints are from fees. fees from what???

like dono's complaint about not having the minimum balance in order to waive fees....well shit thats your fault you moron not the bank!

Dude when you're a college student 1000$ is a lot of money to keep in savings. Let alone if you have 300$ to your name and they charge you 84$ per year to hold an account, that's fucking bullshit.

Technology Credit Union is what I use www.techcu.com

It's easy to find Credit Unions... you don't get charged at any Washington Mutual and pretty much any Credit Union won't charge you for using their ATM since they are all part of a Credit Union alliance.

My Credit Union refunds me all the ATM charges. So i can go to ANY ATM and get money.

1. Minimum balance requirements
2. Direct deposit requirements
3. Limit on the number of ATM transactions.
4. Your own bank charging you money for using othe banks ATMs, basically you are paying twice the ATM fee.
5. Good rates on car loans.
6. Some of the Banks have a minimum time to maintain the account with them. They have that shit in fine print and I hate everyone who has the terms and conditions in fine print.

Yes, I hate Wells Fargo...they just charged me $22.00 for an overdraft fee...

My direct deposit wasn't very direct this time...

:mad

Your best bet is to find a "smaller" bank/credit union.

You will start to develop a "banking" relationship with the employee's at that bank. Most times if a customer accrues any fees, they will be deposited back into that account in a timely manner.

But just be nice... & you will get whatever you want!!!:)

does anyone here use ING Direct for their savings? WF only offered me 0.6%. BofA offers 0.8. I hear ING offers 2, but with some catches. anyone?

I bank with WELLS Fargo, WASHINGTON MUTUAL, and credit union.

BY far WASHINGTON is the best for checking accts. They only have an atm charge of 3 or 5 dollars i believe every 2 or 3 months. THey also have an automatic free savings acct available........

I use Wells for my credit card

Credit Union is my primary savings bin... the WASHINGTON mutual one is back up for small emergencies.....( they only withdraw $25/month for the automatic savings acct)

My best experience is with Washington mutual. I believe one time i miscalculated and overdrafted .50 cents... i went in the bank and explained my story to the teller. She credited me for the $21 dollar over draft fee.... they're good and reasonable by far with me

BTW, I just spoke with a Wells Fargo rep and explained my situation and they credited me back the $22.

I'm happy.

b of a has this thing going on for free savings and free checking with no minimal balance... only thing is u have to have 300 bux to start a savigns account and deposit at least 25 bux a month for it to remain free. im doing it, and its been workingout great.

I don't really ever have a problem cause when I need cash I pull it out at Safeway when buying something and I can do all my other transfering and stuff online. There is no charge to use an ATM but mine doesn't refund the charges of others. But the one to two times a year that I pay the fee for some reason or another is well worth not paying all the other fees by having an account at a bank.

Here's my experiences:

Tech Fed Credit Union: their interest rates suck - nothing special about them that I can get somewhere else; no free checking.

Bank Of America: crappy service; no free checking

- I had to transfered some money to an out of state bank - they made me filled out a long form that took me 30 minutes - shitty service
- Another time when one of the gal told me that my personal check needs 1 month to clear; so she asked me to get a cashier check from the bank (Washington Mutual). I came back with the cashier check; and a different guy told me it will take 1 month to clear a cashier check - at that moment, I was pissed ... so i asked for the manager..and she looked at my account..and she apologized.

Washington Mutual: so far...I like them the best - great services; high interest rates in your checking and savings; free checking

- i had to transfered some money to an out of state bank - I just sat there and gave them the info and they printed out a copy of the transaction - awesome service

Overall, I use Washington Mutual the most....
