so if you ride a duc, beware you stop for a cup of coffee. this is expressly not allowed except for showing off your shiny hardware. :rolleyes

We have an espresso machine at work. Does this mean I'm showing off when I park it outside? :laughing

Not necessarily, it depends on your motive and bike.:cool

Man I don't care what people think. I ride my SV650S everywhere and as soon as the replacement to the current Duc 848 (799? 849?) comes out, I will be buying that and riding that everywhere. Call me a poser, call me whatever you want, could give a shit about people who are just jelly... I'm not going to be young forever, might as well get something I want. :twofinger

I am sensing a couple different interpretations of "posing bike". Does it mean a bike that people like to look at and compliment you on when they see you riding it? Or does it mean a bike that people use for posing, ie, they want to be complimented on it regardless of whether they ride it (to Starbucks) or not? I take it to mean the latter. The former is what I would call a "cool bike", bro.

So which is it?

You got it right, a bike used for posing. That doesn't mean that the bike sucks.

Tldr, doesn't matter what you ride, it becomes the best posing bike when look out the window and some dork is hangin out by it tryin to act like it's his bike!

On numerous occasions I've seen folks walk by a row of Ducati's to ogle my friends RSV4. It's egregious how much attention that thing gets...

That's because on a 190/55 tire profile you have to be dragging elbow to erase the last 3/4"

Ummmmm...No......

Well, I am certain there are things I know I don't know, but I had a 636 for years and rode that with enthusiasm and it had NO chicken strips, in fact, in spirited street riding, the rubber was essentially overflowing in heat globs over the end of the tread block...

On my ZX-10, It feels like I've ridden it every bit as enthusiastically, and been what at least "feels" like as much if not more lean angle in corners on the twisties and I swear there is a full 1" of untouched tire at the edge...

I wont say I know exactly what's going on there compared to my old 636, but it does confuse me a bit...

Have to agree w/ Ken. No CS on the front or rear of the 10r.

Come join us (CBX club) some day Connie. We meet up in Death Valley, Flat head lake, Morro Bay and Reno every year. Up to 30 CBXs, some w/ british frames, ss swing arms, turbo'd etc.

And by now, every one of you can do a 24-valve shim job in your sleep. :thumbup :laughing

MV.

Yeah you probably actually ride it but that doesnt take away the fact that your quad exhaust is probably going to be the coolest motherfucker in the room.

Wow, Ducati is really pulling ahead.:laughing

RSV4 is beautiful but it's also newer than most Ducati sports bikes. I doubt they walk right past a "panigale" (what a retarded name), they are beautiful as well.

Poor list of choices on the poll. I voted other. But if limited to the brands listed, then yes, Ducati.

Any of these would be much better, though:

When I rode my monster I felt super awkward about compliments. Especially since it was only pretty from the left side.
I still feel awkward about people saying nice things about my Multistrada, maybe more so.
Is it posing if it makes you feel awkward while you get your gear on and people try to talk to you?
