What mosquito said.Especially about the music.
I think most of the people I know who got into anime, starts with Dragon Ball Z when they were kids, or Cowboy Bebop when they were older.
Cowboy Bebop is easy to get into if you're not into anime, because it's very un-Japanese feeling, unlike a lot of other animes. The English subbing is actually good, you don't have to be familiar with Japnese style acting to figure out whats going on, and of course, the music is awesome.
Final Fantasy VII Advent Children was pretty sweet, if you played the game, otherwise the story makes no sense. Can't wait for the new Blu Ray version to come out.
