the guy has an attitude problem on group ride forum. everyone is cool in here ....fun people....this guy comes into group ride and locks two threads and tosses another.

hooli..yana...mortifer....really cool people on barf...meet em in person...same....

enchanter...not so much.....wonder how personable he is in person.

yes this is a rant. no he didnt shut down any of my threads...but i am just amazed at his straight up mean attitude.

guess well never see him on a teesnob ride....id be surprised if he even owns a bike.
 
He was asked to be a mod due to his contribution to the m/c community outside of BARF as well as in it...yep, he does own a bike, race em, and teach others how to ride em as well...

while his stern approach on BARF may not appeal to some, he is needed to put the smack down or the place will run amok...

the Kitchen Sink on the other hand....well, just don't drop your keys near any of these bastids in person....

I think in the past I've felt that enchanter watched for my threads, and found ways to taunt me and diss me. But reflecting back on the nature of my posts and demeanor of myself - perhaps it was not so out of line. After all, since I've been cool - 99.9% of BARF has been cool back. Just look at my squares of rep. I went from -4 to +7 in what? 2 months? That's 11 up and I don't think it means that "BARF" was the one that grew up. I took a look in the mirror, and perhaps you should do the same. ;)

And you've been around here, what 4 months? I'm willing to bet Enchanter has been riding longer than you've been alive.

He's been extremely easy for me to get along with. No BS. Calls 'em like he sees 'em and doesn't care who's feelings he hurts along the way. I can respect a guy like that.

I'd also bet that he taught more people to ride last weekend than you have fingers and toes!

to actually answer your question, the mods and site administrators and the site owner I am sure had a say in making him a mod.

I am pretty damn sure they have a clear understanding of where they want the board to be, and who would be best fit for certain moderating tasks to get the board where they want it.

Please submit your list of accomplishments and contributions to BARF so that the clique can review your BARF membership status.

Enchanter does more for BARF and the motorcycling community than you could ever hope to do. If you're going to be surprised to hear he owns a bike, you're going to downright shit your pants when you find out a little about his motorcycling background. I hope you're wearing your Depends Undergarments.

He moved a thread to its appropriate place, deal with it and stop whoring up the group rides forum. If you guys want to chat it up use a goddamn instant messaging program. Otherwise there's this brand new revolutionary communication device called the TELEPHONE. Look into it.

Tim's a great mod...and a GREAT guy. What you don't see is the position Tim takes on many of the issues of BARF...he's ALOT different than you're projecting him to be. In fact, I'll back any play Tim makes...he's that consistent and that reliable. We have to keep the board running smoothly and that's what he's doing, so give the guy some slack please.

There are some areas where we allow leniency on threads going off track, etc. Others, like group rides, are strictly monitored. Tim's doing his job...and he's an AWESOME instructor and rider...

As I said, a problem with Tim is a problem with me as well.

When you have been around BARF more than three months you can ask such questions, but where you stand now you know nothing about most of the people around here. Shit you stated Hoolis a mod and we all know that hell will have frozen over before he becomes one. :laughing

In others words, if its so bad leave, no one will notice nor care. :wave
