and i lol at wanting to hear him play. his music room is downstairs, and when he’s playing, the sound wafts up through the house. only way i can listen. if he thinks i’m listening, he gets all self conscious (everything goes all stiff and forced), so i always have to do it surreptitiously. oddly though, he asks me after what i thought. it’s weird, he’s not timid about anything else (understatement if there ever was one). no clue why he is about his playing. especially considering how good he is at it. the perfectionist in him, i guess.

I hope Beau's ES 137 helps to bring out Mark's best. It seems that the circle for this instrument may be complete. I truly hope so. If I was just a speed bump in its journey, I feel truly blessed to have been so. Thanks to you both.

Sounds like lb’s dude and I may be cut from teh same cloth. When I played in the basement of our last place, my guy said, you know I can hear it perfectly up through the ductwork. Instant uncontrollable kai bosh on my closeted enthusiasm and abilities. I am not a performer, tho I have and occasionally do. I shy away from that so much that I play mostly when home alone. My guy jams with 5 different sets of folks weekly and he just doesn’t understand why I prefer not to. I am not practicing, I’m just getting lost in the music for awhile. Nice to see that beautiful guitar is being played.

okay… so the guitar is super cool. but… large box arrived. me: what is this? him: new amp. me: and you needed that why? what followed went way over my head, but something something about the tones i think (what i could gather amongst the technical gibberish). so hey - thanks, dude. look what you started. apparently it’s an addiction.

Visited Don Horsley County Park today, formerly known as Tunitas Creek beach, formerly owned by Chris Isaak. Give it a visit, it is rather picturesque, and it appeals to my cheap Englishman bent, not having a fee. Other than that, meh, it's a San Mateo County beach. That North Pacific Ocean comes in relentlessly. . The county did a good job making it accessible to geriatric BARFers, with a gentle ramp that switchbacks down to the beach.
