OK, I'll admit up front that I didn't do a search, mostly because I didn't know exactly how to word the search. But I know the word "squid" is used often, so I'd have to sift through a lot of posts to maybe find the answer. I've gotten an idea of the type of rider that gets that title, but where did that term originate? And what, exactly, makes a rider a "squid"?

Exactly. 115 results, and those are just the ones with "squid" in the title.

Like I said, I had a pretty good idea the type of rider it referred to, but wasn't sure where the term had come from.
