I was wondering... Why do people put American flags on non American made products? Is it just me or is it just strange to see an American flag posted on a bike that's named Honda/Suzuki/Yamaha/Kawasaki?

i guess the same reason they buy it while living in the USA, or ride/drive it in the USA, or put the gasoline in which came from arabian fields,

Maybe cuz they are proud to be American? Or maybe they are happy to live in this great nation and thats how they show thier gratitude, no matter what kind of vehicle they stick it on?

cuz they think they are patriots ;)

I agree... However, it seems a bit odd. Kind of like going to the Special Olympics wearing a t shirt with an arrow pointing to the left or right saying "I'm with stupid".

So with that logic, only Japanese should be able to ride Suzuki/Honda/Yamaha/Kawasaki?

So with that logic, you have to put an American sticker on everything you own?

I have often wondered that also. If put it on your Harley or chevy I would see the point or if you were a Moto GP rider on a Moto GP bike showing your country of origin then obviously yes. But to stick it on the side of Japanese built motorcycle to ride around the block, nope doesn’t seen appropriate. Draws too much attention to the fact that I’m proud of my country but would rather buy someone else’s machinery.

:flag Maybe they're just part of Team America! Fuck yeah!

And to be serious, it's most likely just a national pride thing. :thumbup

doesn't matter who makes the bike. the profits dealers makes goes back into the economy. and besides, all american money going overseas will eventually be used to buy american goods. ever heard of econ class?

Do you hang an American flag outside/on your home any time during the year? Is your home, everything it was constructed with, and everything in it made in the USA?

What is the point of this thread? Sounds like some anti-America bullshit to me.
I got a confederate flag on my Toyota 4x4. Now what you want to make of that?
And how about all the people that were not born in America yet serve in the military - should they have a different uniform, too?

LAME THREAD, KILL IT.

JPM said it best. :thumbup

I put a sticker of the Mexican flag on my Chevrolet so it won't get stolen....:cool
