Looking for a proper motorcycle boot that's not a clunky "engineer" or "Biker" boot but in "wide" sizes. Can't seem to find anything from any of the usual sport/racing boot companies. Anyone?

i usually wear wide sizes, Aerostitch "combat light" boots fit me pretty well

Looks good, but not available for the foreseeable future according to the web site...

Atomic Moto out of Bend, OR can steer you in the right direction as well. They are fit experts.

Alpinestars Toucan. It’s wide, comfortable, and has good protection, better than the majority of motorcycle boots in the market

Thanks, looking for a more basic type sport boot.

And thanks to the other responses, checking them all out for size and availability. Been wearing basic work boots but do want more armor type protection. Tough buying shoes without trying them on. Only shop around here is Cycle Gear and seems nothing offered in wide.

Finding out as you age your feet shapes change. Weird.

Yeah they also tend to go up in size as you get older.

I find it weird that Cycle gear doesn't have wide sizes. I usually like wide width shoes and if I remember right my Cycle Gear house brand boots were very comfortable so much so I almost wanted to wear them all day but would have looked weird around the office.

I have been wearing Toucans for years because of my wide calves.

Not quite what OP is looking for apparently but I give them another thumbs up. :thumbup

I have two pairs of TCX and a pair of Forma. Nice boots but neither are wide, don’t recall width being an option.

The Forma Adventure has a nice roomy toe box. I went up 1/2 size on the TCX. I spent a lot of time shopping and found these 2 fit me with my EEE feet.

Do a search on Advrider.com "wide boots". Lots of discussions.

Go for Japanese reliability, German engineering and Italian craftsmanship. So for leather boots, go with Italian brands. I've been impressed with Sidi. The Aerositch brand boots are made by Sidi. So are many BMW branded boots. My 24 years old Sidi On Road boots are still my go to boots when I ride long hours in the rain. I have wide feet and Sidi seems to fit my feet well.

If it's on Cycle Gear's website, you can order it at your local store. I think you can also order from the website for home delivery, but return it to your local store if it doesn't fit.

Ditto on the Daytona's. I spoke to a guy at Revzilla for advice on wide boots, he recommended the Daytona's. He had a pair in my size that were "blemished" for almost half off. They fit great and I've yet to find the blemish.

I wear at 10.5 4E in New Balance running shoes.

I have found riding & walking comfort in the Gaerne Balance boot that is more of a trials boot. 44.5 or USA size 10.

For the street & track, TCX RT pro race air boots. 44 or USA size 10.

The key for me is to find stretch material or give in the widest part of my foot.

Also, I need to wear thin socks like a compression sock or REI thin wool sock/liner.

Wide feet are expensive, but I only have one of each.

Picked up a pair of tcx rt-race pro air size 43 yesterday and they’re tight as f#@k even though I already have two other pair of tcx in same size that fit perfectly. They’re good for length but too narrow and I have narrow feet. My older boots weren’t like this new.

Don’t know if it’s by design that the rt-race have a more snug fit but I got a feeling these will be torture after wearing for an hour.

They’re a bit more tolerable without socks but I don’t ride without socks so debating returning or gamble that they’ll stretch. However I can’t detect any stretch in my older boots from when new.

Im wondering if I can inflate them with an inner tube to speed the break in process, being careful not to bust the zippers.
Anyone have any experience with doing something like that or with the fit of these particular boots?

The Air, shown on the right, have three separate pieces of leather making up the toe box vs a single piece on the non perforated rt-race, shown on left.
Maybe the additional stitching needed to join the three pieces has taken up some of the space
