I'm curious for those of you that have a company credit card ro need to rurn in your expenses. How long does it take for your company to pay them back?

I often have to float my company (a huge corporation) 1-2000 dollars at a time while I am traveling. I have a corporate American Express card but I have to pay the bill. Right now, my bill is $2,400. And my fucking company always takes 2 -3 weekes to process the expenses. Is this normal?

Wait, the bill doesn't just get sent to the company?

Fuck that shit.

Ours takes between 1-2 weeks if you have your paperwork filed correctly.

I takes a day or two after my supervisor approves the expences.

hey fred, hey brandon, we should hang out at bestbuy :teeth

Yeah, that's what I saw. One week is acceptable. Two weeks is not. As far as I am concerned (and every job I have ever had prior tot his fucking place), the company paid the bill. But now, i have to pay the bill and wait patiently while my company sits on my expense money.

Oooooohhh, now I'm pissed. I might have to go steal a pen or something.

If I get my expense reports in by tuesday, I get the check by thursday. If the billing period on my CC ends, and there is an interest charge on the business charges, they pay that too.

Either way, its only a thursday away from me to get my dinero back.

OMG LIKE YOU EVEN NEED TO WORRY ABOUT IT, MR. 2009 CHALLENGER

:twofinger

I'm leaving at noon. I can't afford to take a full day off work like you can :cry

Here, I'll float you the $20 you would have lost by taking the full day off. Now go grab me a beer, and hit the road. :rofl

Too bad your out this weekend, gonna be a fun time tomorrow. Already have the margarita machine fired up, and the tri-tips marinating!!

Enjoy your Lion suit.

We'll be back by lunchtime. Save me a margarita for when I'm done painting.

I did. Check in is around 4:30 this afternoon.

KEEP UP!

Your corporate AMEX card should be set to allow you to float the balance for 6 weeks, so delays in reimbursement don't matter.

If your company didn't negotiate this, they are just dumbasses.

I don't worry about the AMEX bill at all. It's more that when I travel, nobody takes AMEX, so I tend to put things directly on my ATM card. Then it really pisses me off when I have to wait two-three weeks for my fucking money

+1. Same deal for where I work. Usually they pay AMEX within a week.

No one takes AMEX? I find that almost everyone takes it.

BTW I've moved to using personal credit cards almost exclusively for business expenses for the cash back rewards. I'm not traveling much right now, but it potentially adds an extra couple of thousand in my pocket tax free every year.
