"Plunging a knife in again and again, diver Craig Clasen grapples with a 12ft tiger shark to protect a friend. For two hours he wrestled with the giant, spearing it seven times, even drowning the beast before eventually finishing it off with a knife."

Would I or could I ... two different things altogether. I have a great fear of open water so wouldn't be in that situation and highly doubt I'd have the wherewithall to do that.

And with just a snorkel on.

I'll be sushi food for the shark in 45 seconds...:x

He was willing to do all of this to protect his friend. :thumbup

Yeah it is awesome. But I am thinking "Why didn't he just move the boat in between them and pick up his friend?"

And what about the guy taking the pictures? Where is the boat?

folks...he wasn't locked into a life or death battle with this thing for two hours! He's on a fricken' snorkel FFS! He spent two hours trying to kill it after the initial shot, and NOT protecting his friend. They also don't make six shooter spear guns so he had to keep swimming back to get more, and to tow the thing backwards etc etc. Crikey. :facepalm

Unless they have a submarine, getting in between the shark and another diver might be tough.

He did fatally wound it in the first shot to the kills, but he still took the initiative and jumped out there to save his friend. Still took a lot of guts.

Homie, if you ever fall into shark infested waters, I got your back. :love
