WSBK 2011 -Nürburgring, Germany

Ive never read that sic says he would retire? he isnt carson palmer lol I know dovi has said a sat bike isnt what he wants and will look elsewhere because that is a step down.

melandri is out in the cold right now despite being a contender this year. I think he'll find a good place.

colin broke the seal with the CRT bikes so we may see one of the mid pack guys there but who knows. camiers time is up at aprilia I think and they need look for new talent to carry them past biaggi. haslam there could be a great fit.
Well, Sicky did say that he would move, if he didn't get the factory wheels. And if the other factories are full, which they are, then unless Suzuki runs two serious bikes, he has nowhere to go, but the big Manicotti Mansion outside Milano.

I feel for Melandri. I thought he was going to be a serious contender in GP for a long time. Shows what I know. :laughing He would be good at Aprilia, too.

There is also some serious talent lurking in Moto2 and SuperSport. I think Chaz is ready for the move. Nice kid. I'd like him to do well. Of course, once again, I thought Elias would do well coming back to GP, so that proves that I know nothing. :(

marco back to gp where? I dont think you generally make it back to GP once you left

if it wasnt for biaggi I;d say marco needs to get onto the aprilia asap. its a dream team. and the best hope for the longer term. biaggis almost done. Fuck just throw a wall up and be done with it. sign marco melandri now aprilia!

sic will get the factory honda Im sure.

wsbk is where its really gunnna get crowded.

I said Marco to Aprilia in WSBK.
You think Honda will come through for the other Marco? Interesting.... Very Interesting. What about Dovi, then?

Getting a ride in WSBK is going to be very tough, next year.

I just want riders who deserve good rides to have good rides... I don't want any Rossi/Ducati riders next year... guys who should be competing much higher than the bike they were given.

bleh. GP12 please be a good bike.

I think simonceli will be on a factory gresini next year in the end.

Last I read, all the technical ends of the deal have been worked out and it's just the money part now which is still in discussion.

Hopper is on his way back. Marco should be in GP and I think he's got a good chance now that the 1000's are coming back and his record with them.

the reality is though, there simply isnt the number of rides out there needed. and some talent is gunna have to go.

without being a dick, but just being real, I think in wsbk that both CV and sykes should be replaced at kawi, haga has to go, honda needs to really look at their lineup and if its really what they want. BMW needs to finally let corser go and also re-evaluate their teams direction. camier needs to be replaced as well.

the real key is going to be colin on the CRT bike. the progression and how that goes. hes easilly the best talent any outside team has had. Ive contended for years that the main reason these outside teams like KR, illmor etc havent been able to compete is they've always had mediocre riders. colin, if he can show promise, will be the key to the CRT concept and may have just been the catalyst for other riders to sign up.

so what's up with Haslam? Why hasn't it worked out for him this year? He's running more than a second off pace.

My 2008 prediction...

BMW screwed the pooch on this one... because it's a mega blunder going
after the Big 4 with the old 180º status quo I4... BMW should have
leaped frog the whole mess with a MotoGp inspired V4... because they
will be forced to copy Yamaha's virtual V4 just to stay in the game...

Quote Noyes Road Racing World 2010...

"The new BMW is, hands down, the most powerful of the seven bikes I
rode at Portimao. The new S1OOORR is one of the most thrilling bikes I
have ever ridden as far as sheer power. In fact, only the early 990cc
MotoGP Desmosedici was more of a thrill to open the throttle on. Troy
Corser's BMW comes on hard and explodes through the power band all the
way up to the rev limiter. But you would need an airport or a NASCAR
oval for this to be an advantage over the rest. It was too much, too
bright and too hard to control. making it the fastest but also the
hardest bike to ride. The Kawasaki and the Suzuki were not much better
and while the Honda was nicer coming out of the corners it didn't come
close to producing the confidence and the control I felt on the bikes
with V and big-bang engines."

"The only bike that was a little harder for me to feel confident on
was the BMW. With a brand new bike and team the top German motorcycle
manufacturer could probably have been reasonably happy with its first
year in the World Superbike paddock if it weren't for those black and
red Aprilias. All the talk about taking a year to learn the track set
-up, tires, power management, etc. doesn't really work if the other
new bike in the Championship is finishing on the podium. BMW had a
real professional 2009 effort with two fast riders, (as well as a test
team headed up by this year's Endurance World Champion Steve Martin)
dedicated to improving the S1000RR. The bike looks cool and, as I said
at the start of this article, is the fastest bike out there but it's
also the most demanding to ride. The frame is very rigid and even at a
slow pace I felt vibration under braking so chattering has got to be
an issue at some tracks. The handling itself is pretty neutral and
balanced but the combination of the rigid chassis and very strong
power makes the bike a real handful coming out of the turns."

"The team is working on different solutions to improve the bike's
general ride ability and traction in Superbike trim and I'm sure the
bike will be better next year but the problem is simple: The Yamaha
and the Aprilia will also improve. With such a history making
different motorcycles with boxer engines and drives shafts I was
surprised to see BMW build a Japanese-like 1000cc Inline Four to go
Superbike racing. If the company had decided on a V4 or_a_big bang
engine_configuration surely the bike would have been closer to the
front."

Whoo hoo. Look at Haga. Damn, he deserves it.

And Rea, well, he's almost in top six. :(

I would like to see Sykes get a win,but realistically it will be Checa,Biatchi,an Melandri

I think the only problem with Smrz is he is riding for some guy named Bert.

F'ingbert to be exact. :p

Good on Checa.. go man go!

Bummer for Haga in that second race! What I want to know is why Rea retained his position after his crash but Haga didn't.
