Jeez, they did it again. I bought this for the grandkid, but I've actually always wanted to play with one. hahaha

srsly, this is starting to become a trend..........order in GIANT box!

They know your cat will love it?

I find they use unnecessarily large packaging on things that don't need it, then small boxes with a lack of packing materials for more sensitive expensive items.

We're missing a dimension. In order to thoroughly lambast them we will need to know L x W x H of the box?

and no, the box in the background was not in the amazon box, just the floor piano thingy.

Meh, I know it's a waste but logistically and financially speaking, they get a a nice price break on bulk orders of certain sizes of boxes.. I used to work in a shipping department and there is no way we could stock boxes of every size at a decent cost. Still I hate when I get a huge box with an item that is juuuust too big to fit in the smaller box but is way too small for the bigger one. Or even worse, when you get a box in a box :wtf

thats prob the smallest box they had that the item fits into without angling it.

With that large box size, Tom Hanks should pop out and start dancing on the keyboard.

I ordered two prisms that were 1.5" diameter and you could stuff a pair of boots in the box they used to ship them.
Giant boxes are the norm.

Better than my yesterday Amazon delivery.
Item in a box with it's picture and info on it but not even boxed up. With as large gaping hole in one side. (Delivered by FedEx while I watched)

Opened this (gift) to verify no damage to contents (none) then taped the hole and wrapped it up.

I'm re-purposing that box to a sled for the kids, as a Xmas gift. Genius!

i order calendars off Amazon sometimes. i think i re-used one of those boxes to ship a rear wheel.

well it didn't get lost, now did it ?!?

No kidding, I'll get a 5x5x5ft box for a coffee cup but I just bought my sister a PS4 for xmas and it barely fit in the box they shipped it in. No packing materials either.

the actual ps4 holder is a box in a box and its heavily secured, that is why no packign materials

Better delivery than Fry's Electronics. They ship it in the box it originally comes in for everyone to see what you ordered or can potentially steal.

for my C-pap filters i get them shipped to me in a box almost one foot sq.
can fit five times the supply in the smallest upsp shipping box. heck couls ship them in a padded envolop. as just one foam filter and three cloth screens. all soft nothing hard. ( one inch long X 1/2 in wide, foam filter is 1/8 in thick).

Yep. Consoles are pretty much angry delivery guy proof in their original boxes.

I used the box to store ALL of the kids Xmas presents. (The 9 year old is one of those sneak and peek types) All of them fit into that box. :laughing
