Check Kelly Blue book, NADA, CycleTrader, Ebay, Craigslist (even though some people on Craigslist are asking non-realistically high prices and will never be able to sell the bike at their asking price), and know what the current market value of a similar bike is before considering a purchase. Consider the maintenance work or fixes that YOU need to do to the bike, and factor that into the price. It is ok to pay more for a bike that has had all of the maintenance work done to it recently, or pay less and get a bike that needs some work, but you must know this in advance and be ok with it.
    • Inspecting the bike: if you are not experienced yourself, have a mechanic or an experienced friend check the bike before making a purchase. Crashed bikes:This is even more important if you are buying a bike that is being sold at a cheaper price with damages that the buyer is required to fix. In these cases, doing a frame check that will show any frame/fork/geometry damages is HIGHLY recommended. Do NOT simply rely on the information that the seller is providing, even he/she may not be aware of all the problems. Have the crashed bike checked and know what you are getting into.
    • Clean title, Salvage title A clean title doesn't mean the bike is free of serious issues. A Salvaged title doesn't mean the bike may have any problems. Every case is different. Some bikes are seriously damaged in a crash, but an insurance claim is never made on them, so they still have a clean title. Some bikes have had mostly cosmetic damages in a crash, but the insurance company decided to pay off the bike and salvage the title rather than spending the money to fix it. Know what you are getting into and don't make any assumptions based on what the seller is telling you.
    • Registration: Know about the current registration status of the bike. Check with DMV if you have any questions about any possible back fees and other title/registration questions (out of state title, no title with bill of sales only, etc.) before purchasing the bike.

    • Comments within a sale thread should be on topic and educational. Aggressive critiques and inside jokes will not be tolerated. Don't fuck it up, because the next step is disabling the "reply" feature entirely.
    • If you disagree with a price, keep it to yourself. The seller has set the price. If you don't like it, don't buy it and move on. If you really feel strongly about it, then PM the seller.
    • If you are interested in an item, feel free to PM, email or contact the seller privately. Feel free to post if you need clarification... however, your post should be in line with above mentioned rules.
    • If you are aware of a serious issue with an ad (SPAM, stolen goods, a frame damaged bike being advertised as a 'never crashed' bike, etc.) please PM a moderator about it.

A Piano. It is in good shape. I found a note in it saying it was tuned by my old high school teacher in '99.
That was a bit of a mind blower. It is in very good shape.

And an old electronic organ. My Dad bought this for my Grandmothers house to keep the kids busy and for her to dink around on. Has all kinds of weird alternative sounds, a cassette recorder built in.

I just could not let it go to the garbage, but reality is it still might. :(

If you are not interesting in either but know of a church, day care or whatever that would like a freebie that would be sweet. Note on the pic below is an old fender amp. No idea if it works, but TZ Rider looked at the pic and thought it was old enough and the tech no good enough to still be in good shape.

I have reached out to the Boys and Girls Club in East Palo Alto to ask if they would like the above and also the full size pool table I have. That is a custom table my Dad had made in beautiful blue felt with wood and chrome trims. It is in pieces as I had the same company that built it take it apart for shipping.

Hope that somehow it goes to a good home where people can enjoy it.

Free Sierra Designs Clip Flashlight CD tent. Older but good condition, comes with new footprint. Note, this has to be staked. It's light, but not ultra light. It could also stand to have the bungee in the poles replaced, easy to do, but it still functions as is. Looks like this

I have a pair of Sena 20S units- one has had the battery replaced- with clamps and stuff off my old helmets- that are up for grabs; if you want my old Scorpion AT-950X you can have it too, it's in good condition, just aged out. Up for grabs for the most cool Ducatisti on the board (or anyone else who is interested). As I sold my 900ss some years back, it isn't me! :unsure: I prefer them to be picked up somewhat local to me in SJ. If that isn't convenient, let's have a conversation. Some say I am retired, so I have time on my hands. :giggle: I just filled the tank today in my Golf R, so I am primed for a drive.

Up for grabs a Karrite Voyager roof-top carrier. My Dad used this on his minivan when he and Mom would hit all the nat'l parks. It's literally been to all 48 contiguous states! I used it for a few years on the back of my truck. I got rid of the flimsy combination 'hasp-hinges' and added a full length piano hinge to one side, a pair of flat-cam latches on the other side, and a pair of gas struts to hold the lid open. It's got an LED strip light along the back that plugs into a 4-pin trailer connector for tail, turn & brake lights. I also added a shark fin to house a rear-view camera because the carrier blocked the view out the rear window (I kept the camera). It's got the mounting hardware, but does not include a roof rack for mounting.

I can deliver for a little gas money, otherwise you're welcome to come by and get it.
