Curious if there are an Xphiles here and what you thought of the reboot last night.

I was thoroughly unimpressed. It seemed like a convoluted, misdirected mess until the last 5 minutes where it sank the hook. I'll watch one more episode but if they don't pull it together and keep it interesting for the full 40min they've lost me.

On a side note...a character much like our own redruM plays a leading role. And has found a way to parlay the whole "false flag" etc. etc. BS into big money.

Yeah, seemed kinda discombobulated to start.... but I'll keep watching to see if it gets better since it's only a 6 part run.

(The old man he meets in The Mall is Ron Howard's father, I didn't know he acted.)

I had forgotten how Mulder pulls theories out of his ass. The whole "counter intelligence / ghost government / cover-up in full view" had me reaching for a bong just to absorb it. I to will be watching tonight but at the rate they are killing people, there won't be much left. Scully's looking good though.

Meh - we thought it was okay - we'll watch again. Hulu FTW, no commercials. :)

Agree that older more mature Scully is the hawtness. :)

It's definitely the X Files :laughing

Gillian Anderson sure has aged well :love

Supposedly the first episode sucks but the second is a great one, among the series best. So I've heard

Until smoking man comes back, I'm not interested. wait..............

Epidose 2 was good. Much more coherent. It was more along the lines of their monster of the week type episodes, while still tying into the main story arc.

anyone watch anderson in the brit series where she is a cop after a serial killer?

Wait, so you're saying the original series was not discombobulated and misdirected? Watched both episodes and its just like the old x-files.

The first made me think that everyone was rusty, from writers to actors. The second one was great.

I watched episode 1 and whenever Mulder speaks, all i can hear him say is "it was a conspiracy against Hand Models". Seriously. His Zoolander character is stuck in my mind.

Despite watching the x files and being obsessed with it as a kid, I still see hank moody when I see duchuvony, not fox mulder

I'm a huge fan, its one of my favorite TV series of all time and watched it religiously until Mulder left the show. However I was much younger back then and I didn't realize they didn't spend that much time on the acting. Funny how I started to think, hey this is pretty bad acting in a few scenes, then recalled its just the X-Files. The first episode just takes me back. Can't wait for the rest, however if you're not a fan, I would not recommend taking it up these days.

My thoughts too. The conversation between Mulder and Skully on the porch of his house in the first episode was almost painful to watch.

I liked the second episode though.
