Yamaha Owners-FREE ZoomZoom Laguna Seca Trackday!

Holy cow, I just saw this post! Im a newer rider with an 06 R6 Anny Ed. and am very interested in trying the "New Track Rider" session at Seca. A little about me: I grew up on dirtbikes and 3-wheelers. I raced cars for a few years in college back in the midwest - Autobahn CC, Blackhawk Raceway, Gingerman Raceway. Most recently I raced LeMons at T-Hill for a few hours straight, but I have never been on the track with a bike, especially not Seca. I have a race suit and boots and a truck to tow my bike to the track, is there much else I need for this track day? Any and all advice is welcomed. Any issues with tires, gear, or anything else I should be cautious of or must have, etc? t.i.a.

The "Requirements to Ride with us" section of this link would probably prove helpful to you.

Enjoy your day!

Thanks Ezekiel. I pass the requirements, but I'd like to be prepared and aware of any issues before signing up and/or showing up. Im researchin as much as I can on the race section for newbs...

Bring plenty of fluids! Also, consider spending the $40 to get some help from the on-track suspension service--the settings you use on the street are different than what you need on the track.

Hmmm...right outside my bedroom door this things sits:

Bumping this up, hoping you guys have been getting Z2's email regarding the garage offer AND sign up.

Me and my friends are definitely going to reserve a garage for both days, and if overnight camping is allowed for Monday night, we're installing a stripper pole in ours come Monday night for some proper bachelor party with a couple of lady friends! :laughing

i called to reserve a campsite and they told me not to. that because there was no event just to roll right in and pay at the booth, there would be plenty of space.

I got my reservation confirmation in the mail the other day. I dont want to turn up and find the spots are all miles away from the track

too bad i have my bike tuned to my full exhaust :\

I signed up for the Monday trackday and need to change it to Tuesday. Is there anyone here willing to swap their Tuesday for a Monday?

Ha. My R7 doesn't qualify for this. Stupid rule

So bring the 06 R1 LE in yer sig - for many LE's are almost as drool worthy as an R7 :thumbup

I could not be more excited for this.

I have two sets of stock exhaust in my garage for 07/08 R1 if anyone needs to borrow one.

I will no longer be riding at this event (May 30 & 31). Was signed up for the Novice group for both days so will offer my reservation to BARFERs who would like to take the spot. If not, I'll just contact ZZ and release my spot.

I'm sure they'd make an exception - considering how rare it is, it probably wasn't worth it to list it on their list. Problem now is finding a spot.... :laughing
