The one you see potential in?

What speed do I need to be at? Hmm? Day after day, year after year, you ride through it over and over.. wondering, could I? Should I? Would I?

Then one morning the stars align... and you do it.. Whooooosh.. Two wheels off the ground; the feeling of weightlessness, the rush of endorphins & the sounds of sirens?? Head check.. Wait.. oh.. wasn't for me.. whew..

Was it worth it? OH HELL YES! :laughing

Awesome, Chad. :thumbup

I've done it a few times in SF, but usually at the top of a set of stairs in GG Park. Yay, supermotos. :rofl

Not an intersection but there are giant whoops on rural roads (no names please) that allow IOM type air time for those who choose to roll the dice over a buck.

Not a fan of triple digit speeds on public roads. Way too many things can happy way too quickly at those speeds. To each his own, I suppose. :dunno

:thumbup :ride My lips are sealed. :thumbup

I prefer the launchers that are of the nature, that get you free of the ground, at lower speeds, say 70..

Just free's up the mind :ride . Over a buck, is a tad serious/intense.

Sounds like code for a collision with a deer. No bueno air time.

We have agreed on a few things lately. This worries me. :laughing Seriously though, going triple digits on most public streets is a recipe for disaster. Catching air while doing so is one of those things which might just cross that thin line between brave and stupid.

There is of course that little crest on 9 just a couple of corners out of Saratoga. You can catch a little bit of air on that one just going the speed limit. I'm sure somebody else can chime in what happens if you're hauling a little bit of ass there.

There was a road near where the in laws lived years ago that had a fantastic set of roller coaster hills that would certainly make the bike feel light as you crested them.

One day I decided to get some air on my old Nighthawk 750, and I did, felt great, perfect landing and then I heard a "crunch" in my lower back as my ass hit the seat and the rear suspension bottomed out!

Hurt for a few weeks. :laughing

Try and keep your ass off that seat upon landing unless you have tons of suspension travel.

The landing on the 690 enduro is MUCH softer than it was on my Superduke. :laughing

There is a road jump on 25 between Hollister and King City, it you hit it at 100 or so, It's a pretty smooth take off and landing. There are also a couple parking lots out on the Old Fort Ord that have jumps on them. 229 and 58 down this way also. I was behind SP2 Robert on his Gold Wing and I saw air under both wheels on 229 one time, I was impressed.

:thumbup All depends on every aspect of the place...And the moment.

I have a lot of "road to myself" and when that combines with unobstructed visibility, that can't hide anything...

It's rare, but it is there. (for me) :thumbup

Yes. Gough. :thumbup

Intersection? BAH! There's a pavement seperation on 87N in the fast lane. Right before the Julian/Santa Clara street(s) exits. Hahaha, every time, on every bike.

I have to be a little more choosy where & what I jump, I was on the RT.

Hell there are roads in Kern County that you can get airborne at 40mph!

I'm sure this is going to show up on this thread sooner or later. Might as well be now:

There are PLENTY of spots like this in SF. I, of course, would NEVER do anything like this.

Nope.

Never.

(Honest, officer.)

Seen it 100 times and it never gets old! :laughing

In fact, this is the video that planted the seed and now every bump is a controlled safe in the confined of the law, jump. ;)

Yes. Gough. :thumbup

DOH! You named a street.
