So. Today I was hanging at Fred’s when I ran into my youngest kids high schools friends. They were on a Cowboy let’s get drunk tour. Pretty sure most Barfers have had similar experiences so..... let’s share.

Totally enjoyed the vibe and enjoying life is what we need to do.

Oh and that one time I decided to take a quick dip in the "hot tub" at the motel 6 in Fresno after day one of Rich Oliver's Mystery School.

I thought it was pretty hilarious in the moment. Jim Beam was involved.

I've definitely never been that guy stumble shuffling out of a bar after deciding I was done. Nope, not me!

You know, I did a lot of, "Security Work," for spare cash when I was younger, but it never deterred me from partying when it was time.



Like, if I am hosting a party, I tend to not have much if any booze and tend to sped all my time playing host, and if one of my buddies who lives the life full time still is having a hard time while working it is funny how I automatically fall into position and drop into the old habits as crew, but none of it ever really kept me from getting my drank on when it was time.

Like, even before I did security work I was never the guy to be yelling 'bout HERPA DERPA DERRRRRRR!" before falling off the table with a lampshade on my head, but there are different flavors of party cat and that is just one type, you know?

It's been a while since I've been on a bender, but I do remember a day in 1962, in Landstuhl, Germany, when a friend and I were playing frisbee with cardboard beer coasters and decided to flick them at a passing city bus.

It ended with the German cops chasing us down, kicking us in the ass, and jailing us, then calling the MP's, who, in turn, called our dads, who picked us up at the town jail at 3AM.

Willy's dad smacked him so hard he knocked him down, my dad just was indifferent.

Then we got "investigated" by an army investigator, who was the father of another friend. He said not to worry, it wasn't diddly.

The odd thing is that today, that friend is still someone I am in contact with, sixty some years later.

Oh, I've been stupid about drinking, in my youth, I'll never claim that I didn't go through a period of drinking more than my share of alcohol over the years when I was younger, I once returned from the French Quarter in New Orleans and did not remember how I got home, just a couple impressions of the trip along with a pounding headache. Some of us were just more lucky than others with our more idiotic indiscretions.
