NOTE:
Be sure to turn your pet-cock to the "off" position when not riding or when the bike is going to be sitting.
If you don't, eventually you'll have the problem with your gas mixing with your gear oil. Also it will eventually cause your case/motor no longer to be sealed.
One way to find out if your cases are not sealed is by removing the bolt that mounts your motor to the front mounts. If it is wet of gas or has the odor of gas, then I recomend a bottom end rebuild or re-seal your cases. Call TCR and ask them what to use to re-seal your cases.
Inspect the inside of your tank for rust. If there is signs of rust, you need to "Kreem" your tank. You don't want to have rust particulates running thru your fuel line. Speaking of, it is a good idea of adding a fuel filter to your fuel line.
How old is your plug. I recommend replacing it. It could be possible that your plug is slightly fouled which will cause a "bogging" problem as well...........i've experienced that many times with my 24mm flat-slide.
If the bike has been sitting a long time, it probably wouldn't hurt to replace your "reeds". Besides, they are pretty cheap and could make the difference.
Go thru your motor and check/verify for loose screws/bolts. You may not realize that your intake manifold bolts are loose and causing a air leak.
