“Blazing Saddles and it’s HORRORS”. Movie review.

No offense but, really? Is it really 'common'? In society, rather than just in Huffpost and other libtard media outlets who go find video of some fringe redneck and post it like it's happening everywhere?

I dunno, but I'm a middle aged white guy, who spent almost his entire life around almost solely white people, including over a decade in one of the supposed hotbeds of racism, and I've heard exactly two white women use the N word in my 54 years, one of which would be about 110 if she were still alive today. It's just such a load of bullshit that this is a common occurrence these days.

I said too common, meaning I think the world should have less. is it a reasonable goal for society to have 0 racist old women? I think so.

ive heard a handful of times and ive lived in CA my entire life. ive now spent a few weekends in the South and made a few trips across the country. with my experiences and all the racism visible on the internet, I have no doubt its more common than ive experienced.

Like my brother in and law and his family? I'll ask them when we have dinner tomorrow night.

I don't know what skin color your BIL is; however I have stood beside a well dressed woman of color while I look and smell homeless (I work in mud) and received far better treatment :dunno

Mel Brooks would be proud of our discussion, methinks. I am.

Yeah but it's the just the far extreme fringe, so it's basically not a problem.

Signed,

A white guy that wants to continue thinking that white guys are the best thing ever.

White guys are the best at bowling and curling :nerd

Sorry dude, you failed right there.
"I'm not a racist, I even have a (enter ethnicity in question here) friend."
The battle cry of the racist in denial.

My mom is dark as night. She's been harassed racially her entire life in this country. It's ongoing.

Just because you guys haven't experienced it doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Just because you don't know anyone it's happened to doesn't mean it's not still a problem.

I am sorry to hear that.
I work in a in a professional Silicon Valley world where well more than 50% of are people of color. My office is 70% so.

I have not heard much of anything and what I have heard is people of color complaining about other people of color. I don’t think they are racist. Some bigotry at best.

We live in a very accepting area and we are blessed to have that.
Interestingly one of my black friends at Fred’s I asked about a young new to Fred’s black guy who basically ignored me when I said hello. It felt odd so I asked him why is that guy so unfriendly?? He said he does not like white people. OK. Fine. He is not being disrespectful just not friendly.

I have since broken thru that to be socially friendly. I suppose from his experiences in life he just feels like he does. His right of course, but I don’t think it is racist per say, but I suppose one could.

I am really glad I don’t see it except for a rare occasion and it is not all coming from one race. This thread has inspired me to ask a few of my closer friend if they feel it though.

HAH! I came out of a self imposed ban because your comment was so shitty. And within a few hours I'm on your ignore list. Hook, Line, Sinker.

I guess it's time to be gone again.

Don't worry....no one missed you.

I just find it odd that the people saying it doesn't happen much aren't the people who would be experiencing it.

I was talking with a bunch of moto buddies last February and none of us had heard about any motorcycle crashes for some months. So, motorcycle safety has clearly been solved. Or I live in New England.

Yeah, but the media wants you to believe that idiots like this are pervasive in society, when they're just not. They're extreme outliers at this point.
No, the media wants you to believe that violent, white-supremacist Nazis are pervasive. Rather, I think it's these people who are more common. They themselves wouldn't hurt a black person, probably would never even think of using slurs, let alone actually utter them, yet are quick to have others do violence by proxy.

I’d seen two of them already, but Yard Sale’s videos are always disappointing. At the same time we don’t know the history of the neighborhoods. I honestly don’t know how LEOs are supposed to police without making contact or taking their experiences on their beat into consideration. It’s a tough situation for everyone.

He is an old school member, and even if he has had lifestyle changes that resulted in some bizarre and unpopular social positions, he is welcome to kick it. We just gonna shut that crazy shit down is all.

:laughing

Dang, missed all the fun!

Nope, you can still watch Blazing Saddles on Amazon Prime!

Don't worry.. that's quite a bold statement from a drive-by poster from saunterhn california, towards someone who was/maybe still is a part of the Bay Area riding, and BARF, community..

and yes, I miss some things from the past
