Awesome pics Chris!!!!!! thanks for getting some of me, people might think I wasn't there. lol

Good pics man. I like the one of Eric going up the hill at the end of 128. What'd your Dr say about riding so soon after your surgery?

so....JP, whatcha think about doing another Northbay tard ride in a month or two?

So far, looks like you, Garret, Me, Eric, Stan, EisernEgo, Corb and I bet a few others might show.

We can limit it to the first 6 peeps that confirm and submit the payment.;)

Hmm, I just found this regarding Sherwood Road:

"A remote east-west drive on a county-maintained road through rugged mountains between the coast and U.S. 101. Perhaps the most adventuresome motor route between the coast and inland areas. Note that this route is closed during the rainy season with a locked gate at each end. It is officially open from May 1 to Nov 30, but always check with the county first."

Here's my sad pictures (moved from the ride thread)

The bikes (only 5, shame on all of you Hooligans...) It was probably good we had a small group. If we had any more it would've been a nightmare to keep track of everyone... We struggled as it was.

Here's the view from mid way up Skaggs.

And this is where we came from....Right in the middle of all that fog. We were relieved when we crossed under the freeway and saw sun!

This didn't work....(helmet cam stabilizer)

We stopped and ate a few times. This was the best meal Mike had ever had (in Gualala)

The hotel was a bit cramped (and we only had 2 people and 2 bikes in our room!)

Taking a well deserved nap.

Only once in a great while will you be able to catch a Ninja on film (er, uhm....SD card?) This one specializes in the deployment of deadly ass chemicals.

It's very important to get a good nights sleep and have a healthy breakfast before tackling Sherwood Road.

We pwned that mountain so hard it caught on fire! Actually, this is the Geothermal Plant you pass when you ride Gysers Road.

And now for introductions:

Chris & Mike.

Some squid we found along the way... (Actually, JP was an amazing host).

"If we can cross that river and get up to those thermal towers we could get some really good pictures!" "That's the best plan I've ever heard."

Thanks boys for tagging along on the adventure of a lifetime (er, of this weekend anyway!) It was a big rough going there for a little while, but everyone kept their composure and seemed to enjoy themselves! I'm not sure we'll be able to top that, but we'll sure try!

Yeah I'm definitely down. I've got some more roads slightly more south (and some more north) that we need to try out. They criss-cross to the coast and back with good food stops in between.

We can always re-do the same route with new people and see if it holds true to them as the most epic ride *ever*...

I'll likely set up a couple, but Garret and I need to do a little experamenting to figure out a couple routes that look good on paper (or the internet), but having not seen them.... you never know.

The good doctor said I definitely need to ride Death Valley March 29-30 and bring you crazy f*ckers with me. Day 1 200 mi. Day 2 150 mi. Includes a support vehicle to haul your stuff.

Tards in Death Valley!

I will be able to go, ONLY if my partner gets back to work in time. If he's not there (his wife is having a baby), I can't take the time off because I'll need to be there to cover his spot. We'll see.... I'd sure as shit love to do that.

On a side note:

I had been meaning to get some new hand-guards for quite some time, as the CeMoto hand-guards I had were not reinforced by aluminum/steel, just plastic. As everyone found out, on one of my crashes the hand-guard bent up and out of the way -- causing the clutch lever to take the entire force of the crash (which then broke the cable).

So I went with the Cycra Pro-Bends with the Stealth small-guards. The Cycra mounting hardware wouldn't work with my oversized bars so I had to use the CeMoto mounting hardware -- but it pretty much bolted right up!
