So the BMW S1000 RR is at 2009 MotoGP...

I was there Thursday-Sunday. Wish I would've bumped into you! Where in the hell was the Triumph tent?! :thumbdown

you mean this one?

from what i've read, its gonna be an option to get the M colors.
if you're referring to the "orange peel" look, BMW paints their cars like that as well. its an process thats hard to duplicate. So you can tell if the vehicle has been repainted before or not.

yeah, that's the one. :thumbup

no, not orange peel. i've owned a couple of late model BMWs so i know what you mean. i understand that orange peel is more the result of using environmentally friendly water based paints. i don't think its desired on any level.

the frame had more of a semi-gloss crinkle finish you see on outdoor patio furniture. it looked cheap. :thumbdown

hmmm and the one they had was a production bike? :(

I can't wait to see one in person.. really love the o-O look :wtf

I saw it. I didn't think twice about it. It's just another repli-racer look alike. They're never going to sell very many because the budget liter bike crown just won't pay the premium. It doesn't have the Ducati panache to justify it being an exotic. This will all change if by some engineering miracle they get to the pointy end of WSB.

I think they will sell their entire first year run- no problem..

Traction control for 1000.00$ more than a 2010 R1-how is that translate into "paying a premium"?

Let me re-phrase that. Ignition management...lol

The final price isn't out yet. I don't see BMW Motorad going Walmart.

don't know what you are talking about this thing?

It's out... base MSRP: $13,800. And there is the new rider.

Hi Albert!!

<<< "BMW girl" that Keith was staring down :laughing

Great weekend! No, ridiculous weekend... thank you SO MUCH for taking pictures. I'm really glad I got to meet you - the tent was certainly hopping most of the weekend!

Those pictures of the S1000RR all crunchy make me cry :thumbdown

yea i'm glad there is a new rider because that last guy was a fucking tool! Out there in B group trying to "prove something" and the only thing he proved is that he wasn't that good. He destroyed that bike! he was crying the whole time "someone hit me someone hit me" when infact no one was even close to him (i was in the garage with all control riders that observed his dumbass crash)

He crashed on like the first or second lap of the B session when clearly he did not let the tires warm up with the pavement and i'm pretty sure they didn't have tire warmers on it before he went out because they were showing it!

The bike looks nice too bad you had some one like that promoting it, it single handedly turned alot of people off about the bike (a ton of people thought that if their own "rider" couldn't ride the bike how good can it be at the track typa thing)

So the guy that crashed it, was he an employee or something or an owner?

he was an employee for north county BMW i beleive

From the snivelling, it sounds more like he was one of their customers.

How old is that CHP shot? :laughing

Alright... so this thing is actually comfortable for a sportsbike. From what I've heard, they've done extensive wind tunnel testing to work on air-flow management around the rider as well as for performance and cooling purpose.

Almost everyone notices the different sets of 'holes' on each side of the bike. There are also slits on the windscreen and tank cover.

Now there's only one way to find out... gotta ride it. :)

By the way, anyone read the RoadRacing World magazine (August issue) dyno result? 179.82HP.
