I actually gained some new perspective from reading this (entire fucking) thread. I never really considered that the people who rev the hell outta their bikes were actually doing it so that I could appreciate it. Thanks! Always just assumed it was for the attention.

I don't care what kind of bike it is. Usually, just shake my head, and hope you get out of the parking lot so we can begin mocking you.

What European product has ever been cheaper than it's Japanese counterpart? Hell, what American product has ever been cheaper than it's Japanese counterpart? When you don't have to pay your employees good wages, the bottom line can be a lot lower.

Actually, the Japanese workers are decently paid and they are top notch at what they do. The Japanese corps simply operate at lower gross margins and stay afloat by selling superior products in larger volumes

It's not just bikes, same goes for cars, electronics, etc. The Japanese are a highly skilled work force

Highly skilled at building tinny feeling cars with plasticy interiors that pale in comparison to their European competition.

I'm not a fan of I4's so that pretty much means I'm set with the Europeans.

Efficiency at the cost of your personal life and livelihood isn't worth it to me and I'll bet some of the forerunners of the Japanese blue-collared work force would agree.

Having skilled techs work with me here in the states and over in Japan, it's a clear cut difference in dedication and quality of work

But yes, they are worked to the bone :laughing
