I just got my Knox Handroid gloves...

Didn't know where else to put this, but figured only racers would be interested in this glove so here goes. I just got my Knox Handroid gloves and so far they have exceeded my expectations. Keep in mind this is my first pair of gloves that cost $200+ so I can't really compare it to a pair of Held, Dainese gloves. Just took them on an 40 min ride and WOW. This is a very comfortable glove. I thought the outer skeleton would restrict my hand movement but I didn't even notice them. The kangaroo on the palm side makes for a great feel and great comfort. I've previously owned a pair of gloves that had scaphold protection and didn't like it due to the protection hitting the handle bars and feeling uncomfortable, but these are not noticeable and do not make contact with the handlebars. As far as the gauntlet goes it's a little longer then i'm used to but it's a nice fit over my leather jacket. The boa closure system does make for a nice even dispersement of pressure for a nice fit. Only drawback I can see is a little fatigue from turning the knobs so many time if you do trackdays and are taking the gloves off and on. I've previously had a pair of snowboarding boots with the boa closure system and the constant turning of the knob made my hands cramp up. I haven't tested how well they hold up in a crash and hope I never have too. Overall I'm quite happy with my purchase and hope these last a while. I've learned the hard way as these are my 4th pair of gloves as I used to just buy cheap full leather gloves but they would wear out fast over time.

Also as a side note, I am in no way affiliated with Knox or Sportbiketrackgear.com (that's where I got them from). I paid retail for these gloves as well $249.99. If you are in need for a new pair of gloves I'd look at these as an option.
 
I also just bought these gloves and will be using them tomorrow at Laguna so I will be sure to post a response as to how they hold up on the track.

As far as fit and maneuverability goes, I LOVE these things. Best fitting glove I have ever worn, fantastic finger freedom, but then again that is just from putting them on and gripping the handlebar

I am still waiting on a few crash reports. I am using Phantoms right now, that I love. After a year, they finally are just about broken in nice and soft. I would like another pair of gloves and have been looking at the droids.

Good to hear they are feeling good.

How is the stitching and seams on the gloves? fingertips? I know that a few of the initial batch had some issues.. How is the fit? True to size?

They were awesome! Especially after breaking them in, my clutch and brake fingers are completely unrestricted. They fit as if they are custom made for my hands, it's really quite amazing. The japanese leather and kangaroo leather is incredibly comfortable and I can feel great responsiveness to the bike. The palm doesn't bunch up when you grip your bike and you expel zero energy on track using these things.

Before these I used Alpinestars GP-Plus, and was not impressed at all. My experience with Alpinestars is go big or not at all. Their midrange equipment is decent, but if you are looking to get comfort and the most feel with less energy spent on moving around in your equipment, you HAVE to get their top of the line stuff (which is great! but pricey.) But back to the gloves - they put uncomfortable pressure on my knuckles, my finger freedom was way more restricted than the Handroids, ended up with really sore fingers and adversely effected my riding.

Basically, long story short, the GP-Plus gloves felt like I was wearing so much padding and plastic against my hands, whereas the Handroids feel like nothing is there! The exoskeleton fingers aren't noticeable whatsoever.

GET THEM!
 
Oh and the Boa lacing system is awesome. slip em on, twist the knob, perfect every time, no fussing

Just wondering... did you break em in before Laguna or did you use em for the 1st time at the track? I'm a little bit put off by the price, but sounds like I have really take a look at these.

i was just having issues with my A* GP plus bunching up in the palms and general fatigue in my hands caused by my gloves at yesterday and last weekend. plus after seeing some A* gloves rip open at the seems this last weekend kinda got me thinking of non A* gloves.
 
Is there any store in the south bay area that has these in stock?
I would want to try them on for size before buying them.
