Dawn to Dark Yosemite Ride - May 29th

That will be nice to ride through that "Little Dragons Tale" I've heard so much about on Hwy. 49

Have fun you all.

Did that last year enroute to the Village to pickup MEC & Susan, on the way to Hawthorne.

Road construction & SLOW cagers, rubbernecking the views. Fun, tho, when you got past them. :thumbup

Just to note that before Priests Grade on 120 we will pass the entrance to this fantastic 37-mile stretch of 49 to the south between 120 and 140 which includes the "Little Dragon":

Ya know, if they're stopped you can just ride by them...

You might even be able to ride through the police stop too, right Tim?

Given the already long day, I think we're gonna have to pass on anything that adds significantly to the time.

"Do NOT cross the DY"

just became

"Do NOT cross the DY UNLESS NECESSARY to get home on time & make dinner for SWMBO".

FTFY :thumbup

My SWMBO will be out of town, which is one reason this works so well for me. I'm just not ready for an Iron Butt cert yet. :twofinger

Mine is not, and she can't cook for chit, so I make dinner. Might be chicken nuggets & sweet potato fries for din-din... :rofl

hey all! Are Wimmenz allowed along?? :)

I may consider this...my birthday is the 31st but leaving for Thunderhill that day for the Women's VIP Track Day June 1. Thinking I could do the Bonnie on this trip..BUT she only likes to go as fast as 85-90. Have to decide how worn out I want to get just a few days before my track day! Hmmmm..

Carl just challenged me to do an Iron Butt 1000 like he did..on his Gixxer...in hail and snow...I am thinking I want to do it BUT in nicer months than November. My longest mileage in a day so far is 450 miles from OR..all slab..on the Bonnie..

I am itching to do more long road trips over weekends..getting tired of usual roads around here for just a few hours.

I will keep track of this thread...see how I feel about this! May be able to sneak out...

Are you an old Coot?

Don't forget..I am your teen prom baby mama...so I probably classify as an old coot..old lady..whatever...turning 45 on the 31st..damn..reason enough to get out and ride and ferget how old I will be!!:party

That would be fine. For starters, I think Tim was talking about bringing his KLR 650 which only has one lung.

Oh..fun..I figure on those roads..that would be fast enough...freeway it seems slow...even tho well over the uhhmmmm...speed limit!!:rolleyes

Oh..and I have done Little Dragon..if we do add it..fun twisties..it is Curve Unit's October ride usually. I think we stopped and had lunch in Coulterville if I remember correctly. Yeah..and. that was the ride where the guy on his new Aprillia litre bike ran out of gas..wasn't yet as schooled as Tim on the limits of that italian gas hog! :rofl

Sure Patty, it would be great to have you along. And let's do a breakfast this weekend!
