2009 Rydther Rally - BARF in Hawthorne (Sept 25-27)

:laughing WTF. We've got all these people at the pool and nobody's seen him. Ain't he supposed to be doing a a head count.

Dunno. He was in the restaurant about 20 minutes ago paying for dinner. Was standing in line right behind me.

Sorry guys. My group took a sunset ride to Bodie. Checked in late at 6:30. Saw you guys at the pool. Waved, and got a couple of wave backs, but I guess the word didn't get to the rest of the group by the pool.

I checked people by either recognizing their bikes in the parking lot, or as I run into them at dinner. Mortifer checked in for the group at Lee Vining... So we are all good.

Sorry for the false alarm.

By the way, Anton (atoyf) had to turn around due to personal issues.

I'll be going to Yosemite today. If I don't bump into you during the day, see you at dinner. Have a great day today folks.

Update:

It's a beautiful morning in Hawthorne. The temp will get into the 90's today. BARFers have different plans today... We are scattering like cockroaches :laughing

George (mlm) is making a solo run to Death Valley.

A few riders are heading into Yosemite.

A good size group is aiming for Virginia City.

Flying_hun is taking a group over to that Berlin-whatever fossil park.

Luckett (Chris) and ScorpioIV (Alan) have plans for a dirt adventure around the back trails of Bodie.

Machete, Charmed and Company have an ambitious plan of soaking themselves by the pool with Cheladas in hands.

I am leading a small contigent of lolligagers to Benton, Mammoth Lakes and Devils Postpiles.

It's a fucking awesome feeling to see folks from all walks of life bond together to celebrate... Life on two wheels.

Wish you were here!

Virginia City for me. I'll have the Spot on in case Nick feels like being a stalker again. :laughing

Making good time..who'd of thunk :D

Gas is kinda sparse so I had to stop in Beatty,

The routes here in NV are great. Wish we had more than a day here. :(

G'morning sunshines... for some strange reason I woke up too earl today, so I'll be riding out by sunrise; taking 108 back. Will probably have breakfast in Bridgeport.

It was great meeting you guys... what an awesome weekend. Hope to see you on the road today, or soon after that.

I just realized how long it's going to take me to get back so I'll probably be doing the same here shortly.

We're home safe, and hope all of you make it home safe too. :)

What a fun group! It was great to meet old friends and new. :cool

120 home was a blast, no traffic and awesome weather!

Can't wait for it again next year!

Left at 7:45 and rolled into the garage at 1:20. Including my lunch stop and a few stretch stops, that was bad at all! 108 was wide open and picturesque indeed! :thumbup

I did have to stop at the 167/395 junction to plug in some electric gear. Damn it got cold once I crossed over into California! :laughing I stopped somewhere near the Sonoma Pass to take it back off though because it got damn hot on the west side of the Sierras! :p

Home! Nice... 108 was good. The interstates were packed but going the speed limit. If I just hadn't gotten lost in Livermore trying to find 84...

Pics will come later. Thanks everyone; it was a great weekend.

Team Corolla is eating in Oakdale :thumbup

I think we're running about 900 miles this weekend.

^ Vista point over Donnell Lake on 108. This is shortly after I learned that a trick I learned in Germany works here too! If a turnout is coming up or you want to pass on the left through the passing lane: people moved to the right when I rode behind them (not up their ass, just following them) and used my left turn signal. Hopefully this is kosher... I think it beats tailgating hoping the guy will get the hint.

Once again, thanks all for an awesome weekend.

Kinky out.
