2014 Mercedes SLS AMG Black correction, coating, & photoshoot (pic heavy)

It came in that condition from the factory? :wtf That's unacceptable for such an expensive car!

I never got to drive the Black series, but the SLS AMG's I have driven were some of the absolutely best handling vehicles I have ever put to the road. More fun than the SLR and actually usable unlike the SL65 black series. One day I'll try one at the track. There may or may not have been some test drives up and down old tunnel road at undisclosed speeds... hey, it's were the fault code kept occurring so I had to try to duplicate it, and try, and try, and try again...

Remind me to never bring a car to your shop for service

If you think that car is expensive, you should check out the cost of buying one of those garages at Club Auto Sport...

OP, do you make house calls? I need someone to do an initial exterior detail and paint protect on a new car, but there's no way I can get the car out to your shop.

tell me, why you no work for big time car people dealer types????

Something tells me that what he got for 3 days work on this job is probably more than what my dealership pays our "detailer" in a month. That's why he doesn't work for a dealer.

Yeah his spot there is more than my house lol.

Yes I do. Shoot me a PM.

Dealers don't care..... They freak out when you say its more than $50 per car. They have no concept of this level of work. I've been approached by dozens of dealers when they see the cars I do....then when they ask if I can do it for them at $45/car the conversation ends quickly.

Lulz. $45?!? We used to sublet our delivery details to a nearby detail shop. Far from stellar work, but they at least paid $75. Which I know is still a fry cry from what a true pro charges (even without corrections). A year ago, they decided that it wasn't worth it since we sell the cars with so little profit in them. So now the porter just half ass washes it, slathers a metric shitload of goo on the tires, and calls it a day.

They have no idea what "detailing" is, but I do. All the car shows I did with my dad in my teen years....whew that was a lot of time burned in the wee hours of the night before a show. Q-tips, makeup brushes, the whole nine.

Is that really a door handle in the middle of the door?
OMG, how could they ruin the lines like that?

Gotcha, the Tesla trick.

Lock the doors for the photo shoot next time, cause you know he'll be back. ;)
