I wouldn't want to ride that little thing on the freeway![]()
Not at low traffic, 80 MPH, but when we get stop and go traffic and the top speed you can go is at best 40? I would be fine with it. I think at least legal ability to go on the highway is necessary to get around in the US, even if you are going to be in the slow lane and only making periodic stops.
I just noticed they put a heel-toe shifter on it, just like the olden days. Haven't seen one of those in a long, long time.

Yea, you pretty much exactly described what Orange County isn't.Neither this nor the original Cub were considered highway travel vehicles, they were for around town commuting and short distance errands. Buzz to the store and back, to school, visit friends and/or family or take a liesurely cruise through the countryside on 2-lane roads.
Ever since I've had my Passport I've made many deliberate attempts to retrain myself to up-shift with my heel but it's awkward and uncomfortable. I always press the "heel pad" with my toe. Way easier than lifting up the toe portion of the lever (esp. in flip flops.).
The design was inspired: it allowed the masses keep the tops of their pumps and wingtips shiny and new. You meet the nicest people on a Honda![]()
The new Cub is 125ccc and Cali DMV requires a minimum of 150cc for freeway use.

Just picked up a new super cub. Would like to add passenger pegs. Does anyone have info on this?
What did you end up paying? Thinking this would be perfect for my wife.
