2025/2026 NFL Thread

Chip Kelly's biggest character flaw is that he never, ever gives a player a second chance if he perceives they made a mistake.

I watched him do that to two players at UCLA that I knew well. Never gave them another chance.

He's absolutely unbending and that makes him incapable of learning from his own mistakes.

Ugh what, Geno made mistake after mistake int after int and is lowest qbr

And we don't run the ball

I am pretty sure the Giants are now on track to set the all time NFL record for losses when leading in the 4th Quarter. At least they finally fired the DC. If we had kept Dabs and fired that dude, this season may still have turned around. The Secondary looks sadly thin in the Draft next year. May have to offer some picks for experience at CB.

Ooof...not a good night for either QB

I was thinking about Aiyuk last night and didn't he sign his extension before the real top tier receivers like Jefferson, Devonta and Chase did theirs? He might have felt he was undervalued as WR1 but I haven't seen anything from him that says he is worth as much as the other guys and he might be disappointed in what he thinks he is worth and what other teams value him at when he shops around.

A team would be crazy to hire Aiyuk, he has proven to be a major troublemaker and worse, didn't deliver after he forced a team to pay top dollar for him.

I wouldn't hire him if I was an NFL coach, he's not worth the trouble.

Brock was horrible in the first half. The 3rd pick was a really good play by Horn but all 3 were questionable throws.

They evidently reached their limit less than a year after his big contract.

In July 2025, the San Francisco 49ers voided the guaranteed money for the 2026 season on Brandon Aiyuk's contract, which was originally signed in August 2024. This decision was made because of the 49ers' frustration with Aiyuk's lack of participation in team activities and meetings, which they considered a failure to fulfill his contractual obligations. Head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed the move, noting it was highly unusual.

He's got the 7th highest contract of all WRs in the league.

He also signed the original offer given to him after holding out for 2 months and refusing multiple trades.

Beyond all that, he (and his advisors) didn't even fight back on his guaranteed money for this season being voided. It was contingent on rehabbing and showing up to team meetings etc etc so that means he just didn't do shit and probably his knee is completely done and he won't play again. Still doesn't explain why he apparently went AWOL on the team and cost himself $30 Million

This falls on Lynch and Shanahan. They should have traded him, not Debo. They chose poorly.

He refused trades to Cleveland, PIttsburgh, and New England.

Any player who thinks he is undervalued needs to be traded or cut.
