2025/2026 NFL Thread

I think they let him ride out the contract. Replacing the offensive knowledge would risk too much lost time. I think major changes to management structure and responsibilities is in development.

Edit - i say that, knowing the team isn't at full strength.

Those Niners....

Nice Defensive play for the Niners saved the game with an anemic Offense. You may be happy to know Deebo is performing rather well in DC.

Russel Wilson is looking 100% his age and I would not be surprised if the Jaxson Dart era begins in New York by Week 5. If Wilson doesn't knock the rust off against the Cowgirls in the first half next week, I expect Dart will get his first reps in real time just to see.

If they don't make the playoffs, I think Kyle is fired.

Based on strength of schedule, they have the easiest schedule, but they are not making it so against a shitty Seahawks team.

York will never fire Shanahan. He may eventually step down because he's been grinding to get the SB monkey off his back for 8 years now and needs a break.

I think the Niners will make the playoffs. In addition to the weak schedule they still have a lot of talent but a lot of stars and planets would need to align just to get to the SB let alone win it. Also, Shanahan is a good regular season headcoach but gets out coached in play off games. Next year is the rebuild year as top players continuing to age out and Purdy's contract and Aiyuk's regretable contract kicks in.

I wouldn't worry about barely beating Seattle and an ugly win still goes in the win column. KC's road to the SB last year was paved with ugly wins. In the modern era the first 2-3 regular season games are now the pre-season games of old when coaches actually played their starters. Also, Shanahan teams have a history of starting off slow.

That Ravens vs Bills game was very entertaining. LOL
That was an incredibly fun game to watch. When it was 40 to 25 I actually stopped watching and got some shit done. Game back to check out all of the scores and couldnt believe Buffalo pulled that off. Had to watch a replay of the last 7 minutes of the game to find out how.

The Bengals won a game they should have lost, which is fine with me. They lost a few last year that they should have won.

LOL, Brock better buy that guy a Tacoma! Tonges.

Raiders looked Ok. Geno is a major improvement at QB. We gonna be shampionship!

The first drive looked good. Then it went to shit. Came out of the second half looking better. So yeah, adjustments were made! Can you believe it?!?!?

And the look on JMD face was priceless. Not sure why people think this guy is an offensive genius. He was clearly found out once he didn't have Brady. His play calling was reminiscent of his days with the Raiders. And with a rookie QB, he's just going to ruin Maye's career before it even begins.

But that's not to say Chip Kelly is perfect. 2nd and 22 calls a pitch out to the left to White only to gain 3 yards towards the end of the 3rd Qtr.

Looking at the box score, it was a fairly even game. A few long throws by Geno put him over Maye in passing yards.

The genius finally realized he wasted that third round pick. Ouch. Kyle is a but stubborn isn't he?
