2025 F1 Season (spoilers will be discussed)

Powerplant problems? I STILL don't think they've got their paint (clear) problems over at Acura fixed....

They had a problem with a lot of their cars, Acura and Honda side, particularly the white paint. Bad run about a decade back. Not sure how many years that lasted, but I remember having to have several MDXs repainted under warranty. I think Odyssey, Pilot, and Ridgeline also fell victim. So anything that came out of the Alabama plant around that time.

Went through several like that. Failing clear coat. REAL thin paint...when you gauge it, it was at the low end of the spectrum, etc. I like Acura's product, but their paint quality was abysmal.

All MDXs? What years?

Having Hamilton jump into the Ferrari has my interest to watch more this year peaked.

Who knows if they were running the same setups. Lap times at this point in the season don’t mean much.

There are a lot of unknowns (where they on the same compounds, tire pressures, fuel loads, etc). But, like Akira-R said, it shows that Hamilton is liking the car and he should be right there with Leclerc this season.

Don't know what I think about this. Zhou Guanyu signed with Ferrari as test/reserve driver:

He is an ok driver (not the best and not the worst in F1). I am thinking he brings money with him.

Important rule changes for 2025:
- Driver weight has been increased by 2kg, so minimum car weight is up 2kg too
- Cooling devices are required when ambient temps are >30.5C, and min car weight will increase 5kg when that rule applies
- Point for Fast Lap is gone
- When necessary due to lots of cancelled sessions, starting position will be determined by championship position
- Flexy rear and front wings are being clamped down on, with significant reduction in allowed deflection under the test loads. Rear wing changes apply now. Front wing changes apply at Catalunya.

Hard not to like a F-1 car.

I like the Ferrari, the Haus more and Red Bull a little more than that, but this one says go fucking fast to me.

I like that one too, but not a fan of the color green.

I have a feeling they will not do good this year as I do not think Audi will want to put a lot of money into the team with the major rules changes for 2026.

I like the green, but I think you could put almost any color on that slow ass Sauber and it would look good. :laughing

F1 Test this Wednesday - Friday. Hopefully, we can get an understanding on who is quick and who is not.

Then Drive to Survive starts on March 7th. It will be interesting to see how Netflix spins the 2024 season.

Then the Season starts (only 3 weeks).....:banana

In the meantime....IndyCar and MotoGP starts this weekend.
