2025 VW Golf R at MSRP, planning ahead?

Hell yeah. That’s great. How loud are the pops and crackles with the Akra exhaust?

Very nice.

Stealth.

The 328hp/310 pound-feet of torque 2025 Volkswagen Golf R offers an optional Euro Style Package for enthusiasts. This package, which costs $3,795, includes an Akrapovič titanium exhaust system, ArtVelours fabric seats, and a sunroof delete. The package also removes some power seat features and reduces weight by around 80 pounds, according to Car and Driver.

I’ve been reliably informed , that, the time is for a subwoofer and a flat bill hat.

A friend told me .

Don’t knock it if you haven’t tried it.

The wheels definitely look cool but are you afraid of curb rash or , simply “too weak” for the freeway potholes? They’re probably strong but do give out a fragile look

Thank you all, I am sad to part with my 2018R that I bought new. I got close to top dollar for it , close enough that I am happy. No hassling with no shows and lowballers. It would have needed a complete brake job in 2 or 3 months, tires not long thereafter, and last week it started idling perceptibly roughly. Nothing bad, no CEL, but I knew something had changed. Plus I would have poured $$ into getting the suspension creaks and cracks fixed. Boris my old friend, you served me well; I hope you go to a good home.

I really do like the wheels a lot, but with the roads around here........ I should probably buy a spare. I bet they aren't cheap. I did crack one on the '19.

I must say this was the best new car buying experience I have had; pre-negotiating MSRP and going in with a check made things easy.

Not too loud. I can make it crackle a bit when getting off the throttle in first gear. So far that is the only time I have heard any crackles/pops. Once it passes 1k miles I'll get more aggressive with it. The exhaust has no drone at all, which is good. I have read that the Euro package (sunroof delete, swap power leather vented seats for manual cloth/alcantara and Akrapovic exhaust) shaves 80 lbs off. Any recommendations for a tint shop in the San Jose area? I had my 2018 tinted in Burlingame but want to stay local now.

80lbs is probably about right for those three items. Most VW group vehicle exhausts are made from inconel which is definitely lighter than steel, but still it ain’t titanium like the Akrapovic.

I wish I knew of a good tint/wrap place. Either my standards are too high, or everybody sucks. I do know the outfit my dealership uses is trash.

Inconel last forever.

It is used in commercial broiling equipment as a result.

Good deal Ken. Mike's a great guy. He did our GP Suspension van and it turned out awesome.
