7 mostly big name DNFs.

Bearman 5th in the driver standings after the Mercedes and Ferrari drivers.

Haas number four in constructor standings which won't last but still.

Nice race by Hamilton yesterday.

Ferrari is lacking that last five percent that Mercedes seems to have.
 
It is going to be interesting to see who can get their act together and bring the fight to Merc and Ferrari. With the unexpected long break coming, it will give everybody time to come up with a plan to fix their cars (cough...Aston Martin...cough).

Hamilton is loving this car (you can see it on his face). The race between him and LeClerc was amazing. In the post race press conference, Russell said he was enjoying watching them and was expecting them to take each other out, but it never happened. When Hamilton was asked if it is easier to follow in these cars, he said these cars allow the closest following distance of any other car he has driven. IMHO, this will not last too long as the engineers will figure out a way to dirty the air.

Great racing for sure. The changes have made a really good series thus far in 2026. Seeing Hammy on the Sunday podium was awesome. He's smiling again. His battle with Leclerc was epic.

Read the Mercedes is very slippery in clean air..less so than the Ferrari.

2 fewer rounds def helps with the PU mileage and the cost cap. I’m sure everyone is stoked to have those resources freed up. But that long break is def gonna suck for us.

It’s crazy that Alpine is the best Merc customer team 😂

See the battery levels of two battling racers is awesome. It gives meaning to the boosts and adds anticipation of more passes when the follower has more battery.
 
I am pretty sure Newey had something to do with it. I feel it is the right move as Newey was probably overwhelmed. I was very surprised when Newey took the Principal job in the first place.
 
And it's an "unofficial" spring break until Miami GP. Longer than the summer break. No races in April.

I kinda wish the drivers would stop deb-ing the spectacle here. The races are good and they just whine about it afterwards.

The recharge and deployment regs are too complicated. But imagine if they change it and we go back to processional races. That’d suck.
