2nd race bike?

I was not really throwing stones. Zoran and I have known each other and raced against each other long enough that I thought he would not take it to personally. I do admit that it did not come across as well as I meant. Sorry about that. the comment I was responding to was from GoGo about Zoran:

" Everyone already knows you bulid the best middle twin, right?"

Then Alex said something about "Solid beatings". I never said I always win. I said we won the championships we chose to enter, even though I crashed out of one event, and we won a good number of the races.

I don't really know exactly what 4xfore meant by "looking at the overall standings"? Do you mean by running more bikes and riders? Also Gregg does more then just engines. He has built many complete bikes for people from all over the country. He does not do the suspension work in house. That is done by Aftershocks, and I would see that as a benefit. Why don't you?

Alex,

I inferred that in the last 3 races that I would have had to over ride my bike to try and run at the front. Maybe you don't remember the BW race where we all did 1:52's? GoGo's 998 had my SV beat, but once he got that 999 the game was over. So I chose to play it smart and not get sucked into a fight I could not win. I gave them credit for their riding, and certainly did not mean to be implying they were "slackers".

I meant that there were a lot of bikes in the final standings that were touched by TWF compared to the BRG or Spears bikes. It's my opinion that the greatest market share, seems to be TWF, which would be considered the "builder of choice." My comments about Aftershocks, were intended, to agree, that he does excellent work. Especially his excellent service after the sale, around the paddock, staying late at his shop, etc. A similar service I have seen from TWF.

Oh yea, Ryan, I found a second bike that was the same very helpful for keeping you in the game. That is very important when you look at the overall season and your goals for the season.
I haven't tried two different types of bikes. I felt that there were a lot of things I needed to learn as a rider on one machine. A big part would be a result of being comfortable with a bike.

you did throw bomb :)
we both know who has better record,as rider and engine builder and support at track.
next time you decide to promote your sponsor in public keep my name out of it.
there is no need for candles.

Bomb? the phrase "can not hold a candle" is a bomb? It's not like I said you suck, and anyone who works with you is stupid and sucks too! That would be a bomb, and a few other things as well. Anyway I said I was sorry. It was meant in a freindly rivalry way, but with out enough context to come across.

Ok, no need to argue. Everyone know the BRG SV was the fastest one out there :teeth

That's when I was at the track and able to finish the races ;)

Back to to point of the thread. Ryan, I would stick to one bike until you have further honed your skills and are able to ride your current bike faster around the track. Of course if you have the money, time, energy and focus two bikes would be fun.

In a "friendly rivalry" sort of way, is it okay to say I would rather have my grandmother work on my lawnmower than Spears?! :rolleyes You know... not saying that he sucks... or that anyone he works with is stupid... or that his sponsored rider is clueless... and doesn't know when to stop after inserting foot in mouth... :nerd

Back to Ryan's point... I changed my mind: I think you should show up at the track with a fleet of bikes (at least three) and do at least a dozen races each weekend... and if you show up at the right events, you might even be able to buy yourself a nice #1 plate for your trailer... even if you "can't hold a candle" to the "real" fast guys in your local club... but of course, I'm just saying this "hypothetically".... :teeth

mmmm..

Alex, I see you still like turning things around to fit your view. I have come to expect that from you. I gave an example of what I thought a "bomb" would be. Then said that was bad. So you have to try and take it to the next level. Just because you can't win something does not mean you have the right to try and take the accomplishments of others away.

I know a number of the riders in the TWF pit, and I would not say they suck, or are stupid, and would even call some of them friends. Gregg does not work on lawnmowers, so I guess your grand mother has the job.

I know better then to take you too seriously, but since some others here may not I thought I would reply.

I think have two bikes would be fun and be a great learning............wait do I have the right thread:confused

Ahhh, shaddup, Tiny...

Oh dear... I'll just be a good boy and I won't touch that one... :rolleyes

As far as the "be like George" thing, I would certainly be a contender if the AFM ever replaced the sidecars special event with a boxing match, but when it comes to being a jockey I have to really convince myself that I enjoy a salad a lot more than a burger made on George's grill... :laughing :laughing I always joke around with Siglin that he should grab a couple of the big 45 lbs. plates from his gym, strap them around his body with tie downs and then maybe he'll begin to "feel my pain"... ;)
