Any (4-wheel) Overland types in here?

Hey look at that, somebody finally managed to get out of the house. Spent the last week over in Arizona/Nevada around the Colorado river. Took the nephews out paddleboarding and jetskiing on the the Colorado. Flew my FPV drones a lot. It was scorching hot, do not recommend.

j/k - great pics and video, but oh man, that dog is THE MOST ADORABLE THING EVER! :love

I go the same places in my 4x4 that I like to go on my Adventure bike, but this one was a new one, since the guys I ride with have not wanted to take the 4-mile detour when in the area.

One of the few manned lookouts in this part of Idaho (many more are boarded up).

Lots of wildflowers right now up there.

One more where we had a good view of the sawtooth mountains off in the distance.

I got this souvenir on the way up there, before leaving the highway.

It was too hot to take him with me most of the time so he stayed mostly in the house with the AC.

These scruffy little dogs do like overlanding though don't they?

I bought a used 4Runner this summer so I could bring my family along to the kinds of places I like to go on the bike. I took the wife up to the Summer Lake Hot Springs in Oregon this weekend and made a few detours on the way...

This is Crater Lake. No, not THAT Crater Lake--this one is in the Lassen National Forest.

We also drove up to Little Mt. Hoffman, but got skunked by a locked gate near the top

So we hiked the final stretch. Some campers had rented the fire lookout. We passed them on the way up the mountain.

We dropped down Winter Ridge into Summer Lake via Government Harvey Pass

...and enjoyed the weekend exploring the Fremont-Winema National Forest. Unfortunately, I didn't take many pictures, but we had a great time!

Looked like a great time! Hope you got a good deal on the 4Runner. Got a buddy looking at used ones right now and the prices he's been quoting to me are downright ridiculous.

:laughing

I love going to overland meetups for that reason. It's like an impromptu dog park with all the dogs running around.

Just gonna leave this here for a teaser from my weekend at the Carrizo Plain Superbloom.

Nice!
My wife and I drove out there on Friday hoping to beat the crowds. There were more folks than usual, but I imagine the weekend would be even crazier. We even had a conversation about what drone footage might look like, so I was really stoked when you posted yours! Subscribed!

Then you’ll love this one. I drove out Friday. Camped Friday and Saturday and drove back Sunday. Crowds weren’t an issue where we were dispersed camping up at the Caliente Range and on Elkhorn Valley. We made sure to stay away from Soda Lake actual. The tourists were already already brining out my inner Karen just driving through. :rofl
